Just like the one I had 60 years ago
I went through a few of these when I was in grade school. They were hard to use and broke easily. They haven't changed. They are still hard to use and will probably break in a short time. They didn't cost much and came with three rockets. I showed my 7 year old grandson how to be careful getting the rocket on to the launcher with out breaking the launcher. I showed him how to carefully pull the trigger with out breaking the launcher. I am positive he will eventually break the launcher just like I always did. But before he does he will have a lot of fun. We launched a couple rockets and they worked great. He was very happy. He will be sad when he breaks it, but I will buy him another.

POOR QUALITY --> DO NOT BUY
One Star is Way too Many! These deserve negative stars! They are garbage!I purchased THREE of these for my kids with plans for a Rocket day at the park. Perhaps my standards are way too high as I had expected them to actually work. Now I have three useless rocket sets and three very disappointed kids!About the pumps:- One pump broke before use. The glued on handle simply fell off when I pulled it out of the package! When I used the pump without the handle by pinching the shaft (of course, there is no way kids could do this, the end-plug launched out of the pump handle after about 5-strokes.- The second pump failed the same way as the first after about three cycles and then when we tried to use it without the handle, the little end-plug popped out too!- The third pump simply pulls the water out of the rocket. Really, it pulls the water out of the rocket and stores it in the pump!About the Rockets -- Well, none failed, but then they never really launched, did they?About the Funnels -- These worked great! Easy to use and actually did what they were supposed to do... the helped guide water into the rockets. So, if you're looking for a set of tiny funnels, this could be it!Our highest launch may have made it to 15-feet. The rest were to about 3-feet! This product is absolute garbage! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!! DO NOT BUY THEM AS THEY WILL NOT WORK AND ARE A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! I AM RETURNING THEM TO AMAZON!

Safe and low cost fun.
Lost of fun with this vintage toy. Allowed me to relive the fun days of my young years with my grandchildren. This safe toy provides very lo cost fun. It only needs a little water to propel it skywards. We use it in the yard or pool.

Fun in the water.
Doesn't go as high as I remember when I was a child but that could be perspective. Will crack if lands on concrete.

Didn't measure up to childhood memories
I bought these because as a kid (1970's ) I remember having a rocket like this. I loved it and wanted to get one for my grandkids. However as I should have expected things aren't built the same anymore. These rockets are very cheaply made and do not perform at all like the ones I recall. Poor seals and a lack of pressure that is created all add up to very poor distance when launching. My grandkids weren't impressed and neither was I. A case of childhood memories being larger then life? Maybe

Cheaply made. Does not work. (The replacement also does not work.)
The pump is cheaply made and does not work. It does not hold pressure. I pulled the release as quickly as possible but the highest the rocket would go was about 4 to 6 inches. 10-15cm! What a disappointment. If I had purchased this as a Dollar store item I would have expected this. But I am embarrassed to admit I paid $16 figuring it would be somewhat like the ones I had in the 70s.I have returned it. Right now I would rate it a zero if I could. If the next one comes and works properly I will change my rating.Update - Amazon replaced the unit the very next day but, unfortunately, it still does not work. I will keep it anyway and use it for experimenting.I looked at the "5" reviews and noticed many were extremely negative and were meant to be "1"Anyone who says this is the same as when he was a kid is not telling the truth. The pumps were metal and held pressure.

Very very cheaply made and doesn't work at all!
Don't waste your time or money! Dollar tree makes sturdier made toys for a buck! I bought these for my grandkids and with the assistance of 4 adults trying to make these work,we had no success. They break very easy and don't do anything. The water leaks out before it can reach maximum pressure capacity and doesn't reach take off. I can remember going to toys R us getting these for my kids and wanted to get them for my grandkids. Don't waste your time or money on these.
