Love love love this short leash! High quality leather and workmanship, lightweight but durable carabiner clip. I bought two of them for my 20 lb hyperactive, rescued dogs. Excellent for training behaviors around visitors on the property, gate, door. Great for control outside the property. I used a similar leash for my GSD SAR dog.

This is an awesome addition to our "furry friend" accessories! When there is a need for occasional management of our 2 year old pup, like when we have friends coming over, I clip this lead on so that it is handy when they arrive at the door and inside until he is settled in with our visitors. It is short enough that it can say on our medium sized pooch without dragging on the floor or otherwise getting in the way. Great quality clip and leather strap. I have bought a second one to keep in our condo also.

I typically don’t write reviews, but I needed to write this one. After a year of regular use, this short leash is holding up quite well for a dog that pulls heavily. The carabiner is solid and strong, and the leather is thick and soft. For reference, I have a 150 lb. Caucasian Shepherd that likes to launch forward aggressively in order to intimidate anything that seems to threaten him. This leash has been awesome for such occasions. Well worth it.

I have the Mighty Paw Leash Tabs made with neoprene padded handles. And I love both of the ones I have. I use the 18" for my taller dog and the 30" for my shorter dog all the time for close contact control. So when I saw that Mighty Paw was coming out with the Leather Leash Tab in a 12" size, I knew it was going to be a purchase worth making. The quality, as all Mighty Paw products prove, is stellar. The leash tab looks great with the Mighty Paw Leather Martingale Collar. And the utility of close contact control when someone is at the door, at the vet's office, and for off leash training is exactly as advertised. I am a Mighty Paw loyalist and continue to love how their products make being a pet owner even better!

This leash is everything I was looking for. We use it on a daily basis. I take my 150lb mastiff puppy everywhere and it is perfect to keep him close. The leash is extremely durable. I do a lot of off leash work with him and can comfortably leave it on him if I need to secure him in a hurry. It is comfortable to hold, and holds up to all the elements. He swims with it on and it hold up to being submerged and the sand has yet to cause any damage. I've had it for a year and it looks the same as the day I bought it. I 100% recommend!

I bought This after our hound bit through his expandable leash. We were taking a break on a bench when he did it.It was the first time, but he’s a true hound and would follow his nose if he got loose. Yet, he loves our walks on the long expandable leash. (My Shepherd on the other hand wont leave my side, leash or no.)We use this between his collar and the expandable leash. I bought another climbing clip to go around the handle and the expandable leash. It isn’t too heavy for him and I know he can’t bite through it.Win win. Not the intended use, but I spent a lot of time searching for a solution so I thought I’d share.
