Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I purchased this product February of 2019. I was so excited to receive. Unfortunately, I had trouble with the device and returned to support. The biometric reader was not working 100% of the time. Support said they addressed the concern and returned the product. I left the returned product in a box for a month or so and then sat down to address the biometric programming again. I could not get the reader to work with reliability. I returned the safe again. This time the support team said they could not reproduce the issue and had no problem activating the biometric reader. I went to the support page to post the video I've posted here. Their support page would not take a file in the MP4 format. I emailed support and asked for a refund. I cannot use the device reliably. This time, support didn't bother to answer.I'm disappointed in the product and customer service at this time. As a device to be opened using the keypad, it works fine. I purchased this device, the upgraded model, to have an easy open biometric safe. That is not what I have received.

Pros:• Build and mechanical quality seem good• Key pad and it’s functions seem to work well and are very responsive• It doesn’t seem to have trouble recognizing my finger print when programming the same finger more than once (in different positions per program)Cons:• Although it recognizes my finger print pretty well, it has trouble realizing I am trying to scan my finger to open the safe at times (never rely on biometrics regardless)• Does not fit reflex optics like an RMR, no matter what (with a full size pistol like the VP9 at least)If you’re ruining a handgun about the size of a VP9, it fits nice and snug. I can’t run any extended mag at all, so I can’t imagine a taller handgun (from bottom of grip to top of slide or sight) to fit.All in all it’s a decent safe. However, I am a bit disappointed, given the $360 price point and that it’s Vaultek, and they did not have a reflex optic in mind when they redesigned this safe to fit slightly larger handguns for 2019. Like come on guys! The biometric scanner needs some work as well as far as sensing I am trying to scan. Maybe not sensitive enough, or maybe it’s a defect on mine? Other than that, the fact that I can’t fit my reflex optic with my vp9 is my biggest gripe about this safe.

Absolutely love my Vaultek slider. My Glock 19 fits perfectly. Quick access is a must when considering keeping a pistol in your home, but having children in the home is a huge safety concern as well. This safe allows the best of both worlds. Easy bedside access, yet the kids can’t get to it.It is bolted down to my nightstand making it very difficult to remove/steal.I have the wifi-only slider without the fingerprint scanner. Easy setup with the Vaultek app.The app can be set up to notify you any time the safe is opened and any time there is an attempt to open it as well.Also purchased the nano key which has great range and easily hidden. The nano key (panic button) can be turned on and off through the app. I turn it off when I’m my kids are home and I am not.If you’re looking for a quick-access bedside safe, you can’t go wrong with this model.Well worth the investment.

im trying to return or exchange this product , i bought the sl20i model colin noir limited edition after less than two months the product stoped working . i charged the battery overnight, tried to reset, flip the battery around although the instructions said that the battery would work either way it was placed in the safe.....

I purchased this safe specifically because it has biometric as well as key pad entry features. I was going to go with the bluetooth/biometric version but decided that the app would be nice to have so that I can monitor the safe if i'm not home. The safe is very solid and set up was quite easy. I keep a Springfield XD-9 full size in there with an extra mag. It opens easily, no problem there. Fits my full size pistol, so no problem there. The problem that I had, and this is why I only gave four stars, is that the app is not compatible with Wifi that is 5ghz and that is what I have. I would have bought one of the other versions of the safe had I know this. I am disappointed that I do not have that function. Will I return it? probably not because I would just have to get the bluetooth/biometric version which is not that much cheaper. So I will keep the safe because of its quality, but disappointed that I didn't know about the Wifi issue until I got the safe.

It's a good safe but if you want to link it to your phone or use the Nano smart key you'd better be good with technology. I'm not, but diligently tried to follow the directions. When they didn't work (for me) I tried calling the company. No human service is available; instead you are referred to "Immediate Support" on their site. But it doesn't exist, or at least I couldn't find it.I suspect most people can handle basic technology but when they hit a wall they want someone to guide them through the process. I would have given this safe 5 stars if I had been able to pair it with my phone, and set up the Nano key. I'm sure they're both doable for a 6 year old well versed in technology, but not for me - a 70 year old. If you're reading this Vaultek, please help. BTW, I own numerous Vaultek safes (without using advanced technology for any of them.)

Everything is done well. designed to kill any bad reviews. I appreciate it a lot when someone makes a product that is made as well as possible. No improving possible on this.Fast, dynamic opening of drawer. The wireless button to open is awesome. I especially was impressed with the black box it came in.

Should have listened to all the other reviews, this does not allow a full size pistol to fit. I have a p226 and it will not fit with the magazine in, and even when I remove it it still does not fit the beaver tail hits the top when trying to close it. This thing is built awesome, very sturdy and smooth opening. I would definitely recommend if you run a compact or smaller pistol.
