Excellent value and super comfortable once broken in (even more so since I added an innersole). Real stitched leather, durable attachment to sole. Nothing fancy, just a simple boot. I've waxed mine for extra weatherproofing and have no complaints. Generous fit - ideal for anyone with wide feet (you may even be able to go down a size).

Great and stylish boots.
Happy with these. Wore similar boots daily all year round during mid to late 70s and they lasted for years. I'm a broad fitting size 11 and these are a broad fit size. They fit very well and still have room to spare when worn with thin socks and without insoles, so would still be comfy if wearing thick outdoor trekking type socks (though I haven't yet tried them with insoles fitted as well). Well made and look great with black jeans and dark coloured 'bomber' jacket. (will spray them with waterproofing if I find later that rain penetrates the suede.) No negative comments about these boots. A very good buy.

Basic desert boots
Desert boots by their very nature are a basic unsophisticated product - these boots fit that description perfectly. Basic sole, basic uppers; basically no frills. In fact the highest specification feature on the pair I bought is the waxy finish. For the price, none of this should be surprising. As others have said they do need wearing in - the first time I wore my pair they hurt like hell. The sole is hard and they are also prone to cut into your heal. Now for the good news. My pair wore-in quickly (after about six hours of wear). The purchase of some gel in-soles also helped no end - indeed, I would recommend a pair of gel in-soles as an essential complimentary purchase. They resolve the issues with the sole and raise your foot higher into the shoe - making everything more comfortable. In conclusion, these are a fine pair of shoes for the price. They certainly look good and after a short while are relatively comfortable. If you buy them, get a set of in soles - you will then have a much more wearable pair of shoes.

Plenty of room
I was happy with these boots however they are a generous fit i am size 10 and the have enough room to put my fingers down the back they feel more like a size 11 than a 10 but they are okay for the price I will have another pair but may try a size 9 next time.

Roamers are Top Drawer.
I've owned a few pairs of Roamers over the years. This is my first pair of their desert boots, and I am very impressed with them. Top quality. Very comfortable. Nice wide fit, and they look great! Top Banana!

Good sturdy boots at a reasonable price.
These boots arrived early, are sturdy and look tidy. They are comfortable and good value for their price. The eyelets on the left boot were a bit rough causing the laces to fray but I changed these to thinner waxed laces with no recurring issue. Good boots for the money. I'll probably buy again.
