Boogie Board Sync 9.7-Inch LCD eWriter in Black and Orange with Folio Case and Replacement Stylus

I bought this for my wife after seeing my kids play with the Jot. I was hoping to get her off of paper for her business meetings. Unfortunately, what is written on the pad, doesn't show up on the computer/phone. If you write harder than natural, it will show up. But, it's not natural writing. The concept is wonderful, but not there yet. I've added photos of what we wrote, vs. what shows up.

Awesome. It's probably best described as an electronic whiteboard, but the saving feature makes it so useful. As a technical writer and novelist, I use it constantly. You do need to know exactly what it does (and does not) do; you can not erase just portions of what you write, for instance, and you really need to pay attention to the details of how to use it. (You need to turn it on if you want to erase or save, for instance. Seems like a little thing, but it will save you frustration to know that when you start.) It is NOT an electronic notebook as is, say, the Sharp electronic memo pad; it's a classic boogie board with a save feature. Great responsiveness to the pen, reasonably bright, although slightly less than the Jot 8.5.One thing to note about the case; it's a sleeve you slip the board into, NOT a portfolio-style case where you can open it and write on the board without removing the board. I would have preferred the later (and hope they eventually release something like that.)The replacement pen is metal, which I like better than the plastic original.

I really find this device helpful. I take notes like crazy and this allows me to not have to carry paper or worry about misplacing paper. I connect this device via bluetooth to my phone. Each time I hit the save button the device transfers my saved page to my phone; the phone is what I use to scroll back and forth or find notes I need to look back at during a meeting. Two reasons for the four stars is I wish there was some selective erasing feature for what I've written and I wish the stylus point wasn't so fat. Those are minor gripes, as this device is an amazing value and tool. The price beats pretty much everything you'll find in the market at the moment. And it's served me well in meetings for two weeks now and people have been pretty amazed with the device's functionality and usefulness.

I'm not a student, but am always learning at my job and needed a way to hand write notes that could be turned into a searchable document for later reference at a computer. This works brilliantly. I have it Bluetooth synced to my android phone and have Evernote installed on my phone and pcs. Whenever I hit the save button on the board, it automatically uploads to my phone, then evernote automatically takes it and uploads it to my notebook, uses handwriting recognition to make searchable tags. So within seconds of finishing the note and hitting the save button I have a searchable document on any of my computers that I own. It's just awesome. Battery life is crazy good too,haven't actually had to charge it since the initial charge. Took maybe 30 mins to figure out how to set up all the software to work together, but haven't had any hiccups since I sorted it out.

Great for notes in a meeting.What people in other reviews have failed to recognize is that this tab is great because it only records the marks made by the stylus. If you rest your hand on it and make marks they don't get recorded even though you can see them on the screen. This is almost absolutely unique in the tablet market. The stylus is inductive not capacitive. You can see this when you link the tablet to your PC with bluetooth. When you bring the stylus within half an inch or so from the screen, your mouse cursor will move on your PC screen. This is a really cool feature. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't advertise it more.

I loved the concept and would recommend this for those for who are in doors. I had to return mine because it wasn't what I thought it would be. I thought I would be able to connect it to my phone and be able to send my information without the extra texting. As it turns out it won't connect and I also can't see it very well outside and that is where I would need it the most. I sure wish someone would come up with a stylus exactly like the one that comes with this for cell phones. I really like to write better than type.

*Edit: Not too durable. It writes fine, but now when I transfer to another device, it picks up so much that it looks like data threw up everywhere. Can't use it anymore other than non-transfer, but I only needed it for software development. Keeping it 5 stars because it will be great if you keep it at your desk, but if you put it in your backpack or something (I never stepped or sat on it), you've been warned.Super easy. Writes like you are using the most premium pen that magically never ever runs out on high quality paper. I use it for all my brainstorming when programming. Use it for school when professors tell you important s***. You don't need it on Bluetooth to save- the next time you connect, all your saves are transferred to your phone or computer. When plugged into your computer, you can manage the files as if it was a flash drive. If there were any problems with saving, it got fixed with an update. Plug it into your computer and go to the website ez pz. Every th you need comes with the package except the case. Get the case super worth it. Has never run out of battery. Use it every single day. Plug it in once a week. 10/10Now if someone could design a product exactly like this and add a way to use an "eraser" and bring up files on the board itself, I'd pay $500 without a second thought- if, of course, it still wrote so beautifully. If you could scroll down the page I'd pay $600. Oh well. Later down the road.Easily worth the $100 + cost for case.

Very fluid writing.Very convenient, especially in the work place.I love the quick add function (drawing a line on a side sorts the pdf into a specified folder to then be uploaded to evernote).I do wish there was a manual sync option in the app (rather than just waiting for it to do it on its own). But I guess that's for a review of the app and not this guy.The second stylus is useless and I've ended up just leaving it at home.

Excellent product. Description as given in Amazon. This ewriter writes & saves in its inbuilt memory by using the save button. You can erase the screen using the erase button. You can pair the device with your mobile using bluetooth. If you download an app called Sync from Google Play, then when you make the bluetooth on in your mobile, the saved notes will be synced with your mobile. There is an USB cord that comes with product, which can be used to charge the device, and also to connect the device with a laptop. When connected to the laptop, the device is recognized as a USB device and you can transfer the saved files (pdf) to your laptop from the folder called Saved in the device. You can also delete saved files to clear device storage space. The screens which are erased gets stored in the device in the folder called Erased, which you can delete through the laptop. The product also comes with an additional stylus and a nice pouch.
