Agralan HA139 1.8 x 0.5m Slug and Weed Mat

I liked the idea of slug mats. Thought it would be the end to all my slug woes but frequently found slugs lounging on the slug mat with not a care in the world. I tried it around my courgette plants which are pricky enough to put off slugs but still get attacked on wet days - didn't work. Used it as a large mat to put my pots on but still the slugs came so not whats going on with these slug and weed mats - I suppose they do keep the weeds at bay but not slugs!

No joy from this matting. Our local slugs just crawled over it.
