Excellent, but what's with the calcium and iron content??
I really like this product. I have used both Sari's and then Heather's acacia fiber; so far I like this one the best. It mixes well in cold or hot drinks--Heather's forms a stringy mass in hot drinks, so no putting it in your coffee, while Sari's blends well in coffee and is to me basically tasteless in coffee. I also (so far) find it more effective as a prebiotic than Heather's. More effective for the gut issues. Everyone asks about the color. What I think is that Sari's is much less processed than Heather's and so the color is darker. And that MIGHT explain the high levels of minerals in it as well, although another reviewer in the questions section pointed out that Sari's Acai powder also boasts the same level of minerals. I really hope the label is incorrect, because that level of iron could over time cause iron storage disease, and also contributes to a host of other diseases. Also, that level of calcium, in a single dose could contribute to kidney .stones and also potentially to atherosclerosis. PLEASE CLEAR THIS ISSUE UP, SARI FOODS! If Sari foods could confirm that there is not such a high level of these 2 minerals, then I would give their product a 5 rating. I am trying to research what the absorbability is of calcium and iron from acacia fiber, but no luck yet.11/19: SARI FOODS DID CLEAR UP THE ISSUE OF HIGH LEVELS OF IRON AND CALCIUM--IT WAS A MISPRINT ON A LABEL! THE REAL LEVELS ARE 0.5 MGS IRON AND 40 MGS. CALCIUM PER TEASPOON. This is okay, very happy. I also want to say that after using this for several months, my gut is so much better, and getting better all the time. I absolutely love this product, and will not be without it.

Significantly reduced my sugar cravings
I started this based on research that I did to support my weight loss, well I must say that since using this I have seen a 20% increase in overall weight loss, it takes away my sugar cravings and also reduces my appetite. Appetite was always an issue with me because I would always be hungry, but this definitely does the trick. I've been recommending this along with green bean coffee extract to everyone I know that is trying to manage their weight. Oh, and it has no taste so you can mix it with just about anything.

Gastroenterologist-recommrnded source of dietary fiber
*MY* gastroenterologist, that is.He's trying to avoid surgical repair of a hiatal hernia (the valve between esophagus & stomach) that's breaking down again a decade-plus post-surgery.He has me add it to a daily morning smoothie of kefir, yogurt, blueberry & pomegranate juices plus a list of probiotics & supplements. So far, so good. Work is still in progress, but acid reflux is way down.

Excellent...
Great fiber for mixing into pretty much anything. Just be careful when handling, since it has a very fine consistency and can easily blow around, gunk up the zip closure, etc.

Incomplete Nutrition Facts
I like to keep track of my calories and nutrients throughout the day. Fiber right now is a big deal for overall health and it can be a struggle to meet optimal levels. That is why this product's packaging frustrated me so much. I really had to do some digging on comments and Q/As (since it's listed no where on the product info even here on Amazon) to even get a hint at how much fiber it possibly contained per "heaping" (what kind of measurement is that even??) TSP. Even then, I'm left wondering "is it REALLY 4grams or not??" I hate that ambiguity. Since December 2021, acacia has been approved by the American FDA as a dietary fiber, and can now be classified as a fiber for nutrition labelling purposes in the United States. So please update the label to include fiber content on the Nutrition Facts. Also, if you use the Fitbit barcode scanner or search feature to keep track of your calories/nutrition, this product does not show up at all in the data base which was odd to me (even local Texas hummus will and HEB salads will). Finally, I also did not care for the closure on the bag and I found it often doesn't seal properly. Also, it took a lot of mixing to actually get the fiber powder to dissolve evenly in my hot bone broth as I simmered it so I really don't understand how others are able to mix it so well into their coffee cups...

Love this fiber powder!
When I bought this Acacia fiber powder, I was a bit hesitant as there was only one Amazon review of the product. This fiber powder is tasteless and blends in perfectly with my protein shakes. I imagine it would mix in easily into other foods if you wanted a fiber boost in your pancakes, soup, etc. The powder is light brown in color and a bit grainier than the previous fiber powder I was using, but I really like it.I've been using if for over a week now and I can attest to feeling full after mixing in one scoop (equivalent to 3 spoonfuls). It doesn't make you gassy like some other fiber powders on the market. I would highly recommend this product and will definitely be buying another bag when mine runs out.
