My whole family has really enjoyed tasting all the unique and quirky snacks in this Japanese snack box. It’s been a fun little ritual—after each meal, the kids pick a snack to try, and we all share it together. It’s a great experience, whether you’re getting it as a gift for someone else or for your own family. There’s a wide range of sweet, savory, crunchy, and chewy snacks, and while some flavors are definitely an acquired taste, that’s honestly part of the fun. We’ve enjoyed using Google Translate to try and figure out what the items are before eating them. It’s not always accurate, but it adds to the experience.Important Note: At least two of the items in our box contain shellfish-based ingredients, so if you or someone in your family has a shellfish allergy, be cautious before digging in.Favorites so far: • The fish-shaped wafer cookies are a standout! They’re like giant, fluffy whipped wafer cookies—absolutely delicious. • The “baby snacks” are variations of animal crackers in different flavors. All have been tasty, and we got a kick out of the oddly shaped animal blobs with English labels trying to describe what they are (“dog?”, “koala?”).Pros: • Tons of variety • Great for sharing and exploring as a family • Makes a unique and thoughtful gift • Packed well and arrived in good conditionCons: • Minimal English on the packaging (you’ll want to use Google Translate or dive in blind) • Some snacks may contain allergens, like shellfish or soyIf you’re curious about Japanese snacks or just want something fun and different to share, this box is absolutely worth a try!

I only got 32 items in a 40 count box.the size was bigger than I thought. The taste I'm not sure of ATM. I've only tried one item and it was the pea chips. the smell was amazing.gift value problem at a 20 dollar value.....when you think 40 you think a lot more items kinda disappointed in the amount I got ....

The media could not be loaded. It was a pleasure trying out these Japanese snacks!!The flavors of the snacks ranged from sweet and savory and tart. Of course there were a few things I didn't like. But that's the fun part of this snack box. To find things you like and enjoy them. Or appreciate trying them out and new things.It makes a great gift too. I found some familiar flavors amongst them. The Crab Cookies? Tasted like animal crackers, and the little fish puff air cookies tasted like wafers! And the potato chips tasted similar to Pringles.If you are getting this as a gift, keep in mind. They didn't come with any sort of identifier card. So it's kind of a guessing game about what you're eating. So keep that in mind for any allegories and such.What you can expect is some vegetable crackers (didn't really taste like vegetables though). Crackers, some gum, gummy sweets, chocolate/strawberry cookies shaped like fish. And some 3 types of chips.The chips were amongst my favorite ones by far. There's a pea and light sea salt. And honestly I wish they were more.Overall, fun variety of snacks! Box was also sturdy and the snacks were protected.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The price was good for the amount of items. The snacks were tasty and fresh. I would have given it a higher rating but it was far too many animals crackers and not enough of a variety. Because of that reason I probably wouldn't order again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I thiught there would be more candy instead we got 13 bags of baby puffs and multiple fish flavored items. For as much as it costs it should have had better stuff.

This Japanese snack box is created with snacks that are perfect for young kids. Of course adults love it too (myself included), but the packaging is attractive to children! It's a fun box to explore and sort through because of all of the colorful packaging. But those potato chips in the long slender packages (in the top right of the main photo), OMG! I have a Japanese grandmother who has sent me so many Japanese snacks and I regularly order Japanese snack boxes online, but I've never seen much less tried these potato chips and they're insanely delicious! I *need* more! Everything has been perfectly fresh and was carefully arranged in the snack box. Awesome box!

First off, can you get these individual items for cheaper if you bought them yourself? Most likely, these are pretty cheap almost dollar store like candy that you'll see right before checking out so you can toss them in with the groceries and hope your parents don't notice or care or mind. That being said, the variety you get is very nice. I guess the flip side is, you're possibly paying for items you will end up not liking but that's half the fun, because you can also find snacks you'd never buy yourself and end up liking them!This is not on the same quality as other Japanes subscription boxes, these are not artisan or hand crafted snacks but they are Japanese snacks and if you don't live near a Japanese or Asian market, this is your best way to get a lot of them and have fun trying and assortment.The box it came in did confuse me at first because I thought they sent me a boba tea kit instead but when I opened it, it was the correct item. I also like that the company lists every item you're going to get in the box and I checked it and I did indeed get those items. Very happy with this box overall!
