Great replacement for tie clips and tacks!
Using the tie vendor tag on back and two buttons on shirt to kepp the tie in place. Works great on every shirt I own.

Great, innovative design, and surprisingly durable. So good I've bought them again!
I bought these with the understanding that they were 'disposable' (unlike traditional metal tie bars or tie tacks), so I just hoped to get a little use out of each one as a backup option to hide in my car or my briefcase or my desk, for when I forgot to bring a 'real' tie bar.Well, here we are, over *four years* after I purchased this five pack, and the last of my TieAligns just broke. Pretty darn good for being 'disposable.' For the record, they tend to split along the narrowest part of the plastic strip next to the cut-out for the buttons -- so try to handle that part with care (i.e., give it a second and take a look at what you're doing when you're putting it on, to make sure you're not blindly forcing it over your buttons) and these should last you many years too!And somewhere along the way, these became my go-to tie stays. These are especially good to use with skinny ties (since it is very hard to find tie bars short enough, and tie tacks are not en vogue these days). And if you're thinking what I was thinking before I purchased them -- "Why should I spend $10 on some cheap pieces of plastic?" -- then you'll be pleasantly surprised at their quality and innovative design. They're well worth every penny.

Works as intended
This product keeps my ties in place, and does that very well. My ties used to get frayed by tie clips, and the chains would break or get loose, and the tie would still move around. I would have to go into an important meeting, and constantly check to see if my tie had migrated off to my side. But this product keeps the tie straight, is completely invisible, and does not ruin my shirts or my jackets. It is easy to put on, and does not come off during 12-14 hour days at work. I move around allot, visiting facilities and such, and it stays put, and keeps my tie put. It doesn't crease the tie like tie bars, and does not let the tie move around like tie chains. Usually, I use a safety pin to keep the small "tail" of the tie in place, and this tie stay for the main part of the tie. All I have to do is check occasionally that the knot is tight, and after a long day of work, the tie still looks great!I was worried about the hole spacing, and that the ties would still move around a little bit from side to side while using this product, but when I used it, my worries were found to be unmerited. The plastic is wide enough to fill the tag slot on the back of the tie, so that the tie does not move around. And the holes are spaced perfectly, with a little margin for error, to fit all of my shirts. I was very happy with the functionality of this product. However, after about a week of usage, the plastic around the button hole is a bit deformed from using it, and I estimate after a month or so of using that particular tie stay, that it will be unusable. The pack does come with five, so a daily tie wearer (I wear ties six days a week), this pack of five should last you 5 to 8 months. In my opinion, this is acceptable (nothing lasts forever, and certain products are disposable- like car breaks or tooth brushes). So if you are looking for a great way to keep your ties in place without ruining the fabric, this is a great deal!

Works, but inferior to the competition
***Update for 2016-08-11***Over two years have passed since I bought and reviewed these tie stays. I wear a shirt and tie five days a week and I just broke the last of the original five pack this week. They still aren't as good as the competition, but they're good enough for me to upgrade my original 3 star review to 4 stars.***Original Review***I bought these to save money versus buying the Tiedown. I've been using one of these for about two weeks instead of my Tiedown. It works exactly the same. However, the plastic feels a bit more brittle than the Tiedown. With the flexing needed to put it on and off that it is going to last as long. Also, these things really are crystal clear. If you set them down on a flat reflective surface (like your bathroom sink counter...) it will be a bit hidden. The Tiedown product has a nice foggy/grippy texture and appearance. These are slippery. They're a decent deal for the money and do the job. However, I'm personally going to spend the extra dollar or so more per unit and go with the Tiedown next time.Tiedown. Tiedown. Tiedown. Have I used the competitor's name enough? I feel like a shill, but I really do feel that these are a cheap knock off of the original....but they DO still get the job done. Try these Tiealign first. If you're happy with them, you're saving money. You might also like the fact that they are crystal clear, even though they are impossible to see behind a tie.

As close to a perfect solution as I have found
I was skeptical when I first saw them, and thought I would give it a try anyway. It is an elegant solution (by that I mean understated, simple and exceeding expectations). It holds my tie and the short end in place, is entirely invisible once applied. It is also close to invisible on your dresser or desktop, so you need to know where you put them down.I am not overstating when I say it is one of the best purchases I have ever made from Amazon. For 30 years I have fought my ties separating into legs, wind blowing it into my face, tie dipping into the sink, and now all of that is a thing of the past.

Reliably Simple Product
Have used these for years and have gifted to help other guys with common problem. Couldn’t be simpler - just a thin but sturdy plastic piece to slide behind tie keeper and attach to shirt buttons. Keeps tie close against the shirt, preventing need for tie bars or tacks. Helps keep tie tidy and wearer’s appearance neat. Wonderfully simple product.
