Perfect for both beginners and skilled surfers!
We love this board, it's perfect for both the skilled surfer, as well as the beginner. We have taught multiple people how to wake surf on this board and almost everyone is able to get up on it the first try! It is versatile, and if you need it to be a bit more challenging, you can always take off the additional fins! It is super easy to change, and it is lightweight to travel with! We love it!

Great board
Great beginner board and board to learn on. Very heavy compared to phase 5 carbon boards but they are built for more advance riders. This boards price and super smooth ride is great for learning how to surf!

Good for grabbing the water.
The fins that are included help control the board on the water.

4'8" Best all around board by far
We wakesurf with family and friends over 40 days every summer on lake Tahoe, and have been doing so for 6 years. (We've paid full price for all 3 variants of the board, plus one replacement because we use it so much, and have received nothing but surfing joy to motivate this review)The hyperlite broadcast 4'8" (and the smaller kids gromcast version) are by far the best, favorite, and most versatile boards we have ever tried, and we have tried alot. If i could rate them 10/5 i would. We have 6 other boards, including hyperlite automatic, kanuk stewy pro, obrien wake hog, and a couple others i dont know the names of. People try them, then always go back to the hyperlite broadcast. We train new riders on it, two of us learned to land 360s on it (and still prefer it), it handles riders from 100lbs all the way up to 200lbs.. we have the bigger size broadcast too, but only people above 210lbs prefer it.I'm personally 50, 195lbs, 6'2", and i love to ride and 360 the broadcast. Its just amazing. If you buy only one board, buy this one.No board is perfect, and the single drawback of this board is that it is a bit heavy/dense which makes it harder to pop-ollie... That said, this weight also makes it easier for lighter riders to learn to start, unlike bouyant boards which they have trouble "sinking" under them during the pull start. If you do not own this board for your wakesurf quiver, buy one, now, and if you dont love it, email me and i will print out this review and send you a video of me eating my words. If anyone from hyperlite is reading, thanks for the surfing joy... And also we liked the old "arrow" topsheet better than the current stripes, because it was easier to eyeball your favorite foot spot.Happy surfing.
