Lightweight And Great!
I received this item on time and was able to deliver this item as a Christmas gift. Well, let me tell you, the recipient tried out this purchase in my presence and was smiling as he shaved his face. This was a smash hit! The price is excellent and the product is very light weight but then Remington has been around for a zillion years and I for one, have many Remington products so I trust the brand. I would say that this is a great product for the teens who has begun to shave and the young men of twentyish age group. I recommend this product.

and you're good to go
When the batteries are low, and the heads won't spin, plug it in, and you're good to go. Some shavers have to be recharged to get the heads to spin. Not this one. Norelco also has a raised head, that floats. It is also beveled, meaning, your whiskers won't get pulled (like with Remington, who makes shavers that look like floating heads but are not). Norelco put the AC/DC converter on the power cord, where you plug into an outlet. This makes the shaver lighter. I actually keep this shaver in the card connected to my AC converter. I never show up to a client unshaven! Great piece of work, and rugged too. Norelco, you be the King. That's why they cost more I guess.

Good purchase
Sent back a similarly priced Norelco and ordered this razor. Good news is it is similar to the old Remington I was replacing, which was a really good razor. I am unsure it has quite the horsepower of my old Remington, but it shaves well, and doesn't grab like the Norelco did. For the price, does a admirable job. Seems to have quicker RPM speed than the Norelco and doesn't have the pinhole head cutters - just rotary, which, for this type razor, appear to make it work smoother.

Good job Remington
Bought this to replace the nearly identical model (same model number) I had been using for 2-3 years upon which the blade had become dull; cheaper to get a whole new shaver than just a blade (do airlines set the pricing on razors & shavers?)I am giving it the full 5 stars because this one shaves just as well, but the battery lasts 3-4x as long as the old one did even when new (in fact it ran so long I forgot where I put the charger when it finally ran down) AND the on-off switch can be used with one hand, the old one required 2 hands.

Now my favorite shaver.
I've been a Norelco user for over forty years. Tried others and found Norelco to be consistently the best. But last month the dog chewed my Norelco to bits. The only shaver available locally was this Remington. So I tried it. Surprise. I get about the same shave but in roughly half the time. And this Remington is half the price of an equivalent Norelco. The Remington gives me a descent shave in 5 minutes or less. I could spend 15 minutes with the Norelco to get about the same shave. Not sure why the Remington is faster. Maybe it's larger cutting heads or a higher RPM. Both Norelco and Remington shavers are made in China. On the down side, the Remington seems to drop more debris from the head than my previous Norelco shavers. I own two of these Remington shavers now and plan to buy a third.

BAD DEAL - sorry a basic razor HURTS so bad
UPDATEInstead of returning it, Remington saw my review an immediately sent an email with offer of new razor head delivered.I waited, it never arrived (it may have been a ups mess up, but it can't be known for sure since Remingington, not smazon, made the offer and used their shipping, which I couldn't track since it didn't go via my amazon account. So I got DOUBLE BURNT on this razor and then by remington.Their email indicated it must have defective blades, BUT I STILL THINK THIS PARTICULAR LOW END MODEL'S ATTEMPT TO PUT IN THE NORMALLY EXPENSIVE SWIVEL TOP FOR THE PRICE OF THE CHEAPEST RAZOR WAS THE PROBLEM.I have used a 3 head electric razor over 30yrs. I buy cheapest low end every few years. The price was good, but it HURTS with pulling at each hair and poor cutting. The twist/moving shave head is usually only on higher end razors. Going "cheap" seems to have backfired. I don't need the floating head, but they cut the cost elsewhere, since it doesn't cut well at all.

Painful to use
Item has worked fine on my lower arms and stomach. But on my upper arms and chest the razor cut into my skin. This is one of the worst razors I've ever owned. It fails to cut every hair even after several passes. It cuts the skin which causes pain and bleeding. Litterlery the only reason for 2 stars is because it does cut hair just as good a normal manual razor. Just not all the time.

One year, batteries are weak
This is a good razor. For the price I don't think it can be beat. Have only used a few days, but it cuts well, the trimmer is good. It doesn't seem to miss any hair like some of the other cheap shavers I've had.___________________________________________________________________Update: after one year of use, the batteries are working but weak. I'm sure they won't last much longer. And that is the problem with all of these darn battery powered ones. You wind up throwing out an otherwise perfectly good razor because the batteries are crap, even though the razor itself is fine. What a waste. I won't buy anymore battery powered razors no matter the cost. Get a corded one and it will last forever. My corded one has and is running after 25 years of use and still works good (with blade changes of course). I'd have gone through 15 of these in that time.
