A great product
It was not easy getting it all put together, but now that I am using it- it is terrific. I can get my book close enough to read well without using my arm strength and the goose neck handles my tablet and keeps it in one spot while I make phone calls. I can swing it easily out of the way to stand up out of my chair. I like it-it does everything! It is well made-sturdy and works if I were standing up, like in the kitchen needing to follow a recipe. Lots of ways to adjust both arms-upright, flat or tilted. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Great option for cost
Excellent for the price, being able to hold my tablet as well as books is efficent and cozy. Easy to assemble and adjust. Only critique I would propose is the length of the arm for the book tray is too short, I think another 6-12 inches would be better.

Solid! Might need an arm extension, though
Just assembled this thing. It went together well, it adjusts in every direction I need it do, it seems sturdy, and my 14 inch Macbook Pro laptop has plenty of room and seems secure. (I got the 15X11 version.)Here's the rub: the swing arm is only about 7 inches in length from the upright support. It joins in the middle of the board, so the board provides a few more inches, but the horizontal extension is basically a maximum of a foot from the vertical upright pole to the outside edge of the board (depending on the angle of the board). This means that it's not going to extend far over the chaise chair I plan to use it with. I'm concerned that I'm going to be twisted in my chair in order key on my laptop.A possible solution is the clamp-arm version by the same company. It has a longer horizontal extension and looks like I might be able to just take that arm piece and put it on the upright pole from this version. The clamp-arm version has a horizontal extension of about 22 inches, according to the listing here in Amazon. I expect there might be stability issues. I'll update if I can.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ZTL1BNK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AXR6N05QWPLN&th=1**Update: you can absolutely switch the arms between the two sets, but the taller stand threatens to tip over if you do. Depending on your situation, this might be useful, or not.

Adjustable and flexible
Very sturdy product, assembled fairly easily and has several options for use.

The most flexible book/music stand ever.
This is a perfect music stand. It is height adjustable, the book/document/music holder can be positioned exactly as need - to tge left, to the right, angled up, angled down. It has limitless flexibility. It is strong, sturdy well built, well designed. And it looks great

Inaccurate image
The hand of the stand is much shorter than pictured, it can't really do what it is supposed to do. If you put it over your chair, you will have to lean on one side and read like that. Would not recommend

Great for audio equipment, too
So far, I'm really liking this book/laptop stand! Arrived mostly assembled, where all I really had to do was attach the bar and the stand, then adjust to my preferences. I was looking for a small desk that was small enough to fit in my makeshift closet recording space for voice work, with no luck. Stumbling on this stand, looking at the pics and reviews, I thought I'd give it a chance and I ordered it. It fits perfectly into my little closet studio and has been perfectly sturdy enough to hold a keyboard, a mouse, a preamp, and a microphone + mic stand. I've used it for a few recording sessions now and am happy to say it has both remained sturdy and has not worsened my sound space. The bamboo is a nice touch, the bar adjusts easily, the wheels have locking mechanisms, and all the tools (plus extra parts) were included. I think this is a great product so far and can definitely recommend if you're interested in something small and adjustable, but sturdy. Added a bunch of pics for reference.

Would be a great product, but for.....
Overall, this stand is a good (borderline great) product, and I definitely recommend it. I'll explain a big gripe (and my pictures) later in the review, but I want to start with the positives. This was very easy to assemble. The pole and the base come in sections that easily screw together. There are three pieces for the pole, but you don't have to use all three if (like me) you don't need the full height. The arms simply slide onto the pole, and a knob is attached to each arm to tighten and secure it in place. Two features stood out: the arms can be raised and lowered freely to any height (no aggravating push-button pole locks that limit positioning); and, the knob actually tightens against a plastic lining on the inside of the arm's ring, which acts as a barrier and keeps the metal of the knob's bolt from leaving scratch marks on the pole. Nice touch! The tension of the arm joints can be adjusted to your preference, ranging from loose for free swinging, to tight for no movement at all, to anywhere in between. A wrench and hex key are included, and both are needed together for the adjustment. Make sure you save these! The stand has solid parts and sturdy construction. It presents as a well-crafted item, not something that looks or feels cheap. It mostly holds its balance, though certain positions of the arms (about 90 degrees to either base foot) can make it tip.Now for my complaint (see the pictures) and the reason I can't give this five stars: the book/tablet shelf was not level. I tried using the shelf as-is, but I kept subconsciously tilting my head while using my tablet, which cramped my neck after a while. Instead of returning this otherwise great item, I decided to correct the tilt by drilling new bracket holes. (Yes, I also moved the bracket three inches sideways, which now places the shelf almost directly in front of me while I'm sitting in my recliner.)I debated for a while whether to give this three or four stars. If the shelf had come level, five stars easily. But the shelf tilt was more than annoying, making it hard for me to justify four stars. So I'm rating this stand three (and a half) stars.P.S. ---Suggestion for a design upgrade: A bracket with a simple tilt function would solve the leveling problem and make this stand a GREAT buy.Another suggestion for a design upgrade: Make a cylindrical storage container for the wrench and hex key that will drop into the top pole section, where the lid of the container acts as the pole's cap.
