I did quite a bit of research on reverse osmosis water filtration units before I settled on this particular model. I've been using the Wheelton RO Countertop water filter for 7 months, and it has not disappointed!Over the years, I learned that reverse osmosis is the best way to obtain the purest drinking water, but until recently, most RO systems have required a permanent installation. If you aren’t inclined to do this, or to have it professionally installed, then this portable, countertop model is the perfect answer. It certainly is for me.It doesn’t take up too much room, is fairly quiet, and you can dispense either 4 oz., 8 oz., 16 oz., or 32 oz. at a time. Also, if you change your mind on the amount you set it to dispense, you can just touch any button, and the dispensing immediately stops. This is great if you need just a small amount of water.What I love the most is the heated water feature. You can opt for either the programmed heated settings, which include Room Temp (71℉), Warm (113℉), Hot (185℉), or Boiling (203℉). Plus, you can choose among 8 other temperatures anywhere between those settings. This is so convenient for early mornings and the cold weather months. You can get warm or hot water on demand, without having to use a stove or electric kettle.The portability of this countertop RO water filter can be a great convenience for those that live in rentals or smaller homes, as well as a summer house, a winter cabin, a dorm, or the office.Another advantage of the WRO01 is the excellent length of time that the filters provide. Aside from the very affordable PC and ACF filters that need to be changed every 6 months, the RO Membrane filter only needs replacing every 2 years.Lastly, what really puts this over the top in my opinion, is that it incorporates UV light while dispensing the water. This adds an extra layer of purification that is not available with most other RO water filters.The one and only thing I wish Wheelton had incorporated into their design is to have the spout a bit further out, or away from the unit, so that different size containers could fit directly under it. With several of the glass containers I use, such as my everyday water bottle, I need to tip and hold them under the spout during dispensing, as they are wider or thicker than a regular drinking glass. But this is definitely not a deal-breaker for me; just a small inconvenience.The WRO01 — all in all — offers great quality, value and convenience in a portable, countertop water filtration system. Also, the seller is responsive through the Amazon seller page, and has provided excellent customer service.

Good RO system, do not use in humidifier or water food plants with it. If you put in a humidifier the bad stuff you removed from the water will go in the air and you get to breath all the toxins. The same is true with food plants, the food plants will soak up the dirty water. It defeats the purpose of using it to remove the toxic chemicals and then put it in your air and food. House or yard plants or down the drain.It is very easy to setup and use and you get to see the numbers. You see how much the numbers fluctuate from the low 200 all the way over 500. On the other side it varies between 2 and 22, and for my water in Florida it is mostly between 2 and 5. Use with clean ice not the dirty water from the frig. You can tell how dirty your ice is by how cloudy the ice is. Clear ice means cleaner water.

Great machine, works good. The only thing I'm missing is the cool water. But machine was real cheap!

Recently purchased the WRO01 water filter and it is meeting expectations in terms of function. However, I haven't yet been successful in finding an online source for replacement filters.The water tank has two compartments labeled 45oz and 135oz. The 45oz is one-half the width and one-half the height of the water tank with a connector at the bottom, and holds 25% of the total tank capacity, but it never empties. The 135oz compartment is the full height of the tank and also has a connector at the bottom with a stainless steel large-particle filter. Unlike the 45oz compartment, it empties with use and needs to be refilled. The manual makes no mention of the function of the 45oz, never empty, compartment in the tank and emails to the service department asking if it was defective have not been answeredSince my initial review, received a very comprehensive response from Wheelton regarding the 45oz compartment. It receives waste water from the RO filter and pushes out any of the fresh tank water in the tank, so it does filter the full capacity of the tank. Also found sources for the 3 filters as well as the frequency of replacement, so I'm giving this a 5 star rating due to the ease of use and clever design

Updating my review. I don't often use the hot water, but did dispense a lot at one time the other day. Afterward, the room-temperature filtered water had a strong chlorine smell, like it hadn't even been filtered. The filter is clearly ruined after only several weeks of using it.The instruction book is horrible, too. You are literally left punching buttons until you figure out the logic and hit the right button combo to get what you want.

I would not buy this product, it is so slow to fill your pitcher. Every time I fill it up you have to wait for the filter to get ready for water to come out. The water never completely drains so I feel like we are adding water to the machine all the time. I did like the hot water feature. After two months of use it is now telling me I need to change the filters 1 and 3 They say there is a 6 months usage on the filters. Not a good machine especially if your have a bigger family. It seems like we are always waiting for water.

Easy to use and great product. I test the water every day and the water filters great and tastes so clean. The hot water function for tea is my personal favorite aspect and the water heats up quickly. For the price, this is the BEST product for its functionality available.

The water purifier works as advertised. It requires water refills frequently due to volume of waste water. I fill my humidifier, use for plants and for drinking. I’m in love with the taste and usually don’t care for plain water. Definitely recommend!
