A good polish, not a chemical cleaner
Not what I expected but it works great! This is a fine-cut polish, not a solvent type, wipe-off cleaner. To be effective, it does take some effort, elbow grease. Or you can use a buffing wheel. We had a film residue on the windshield that did not come off with Windex, vinegar, isopropyl alcohol, ammonia, Goof Off (All applied separately. Do not mix any of these!) After these attempts, the windshield looked clean, and yet when spraying water on it, the residue would show up. I did a test area with Rain X Xtreme Cleaner and saw that it did indeed take down the residue. I hand applied to the rest of the windshield working a circular pattern. It took about 15 minutes to do the entire windshield, although had to revisit a few areas after the spray test.I then tried it on the headlight covers and this is where the magic happens. It buffed out the fogged plastic back to a clear finish. This makes the car look years younger. I am pleased with this product.

Excellent product!! Deserves 10+ stars!
This product is amazing! It is the ONLY product that I have tried that actually works! There was decades of soap scum on the shower surrounds in a house that my husband and I just purchased. It took a little elbow grease to get it clean BUT it did help me remove all of the built-up soap scum. I even tried it on the outside of my exterior windows because of the dried on rain residue that hadn't been cleaned off for many years. To my delight it worked on that too! So pleased with this product and have recommended to other family members!

Glad I didn't pay for headlight renewal!
I made an appointment for headlight renewal and took off work an hour early for the appointment only for the shop to tell me that they wouldn't do it that day because it was to rain the next day. They said they won't do headlight renewal if it's going to rain within 48 hours because the sealant can't get wet. So um, how does anyone ever manage to get it done? Anyway, after some googling, I found a couple DIY headlight renewal kits that sounded scary and then this, for $6. I went with this, and I am delighted with the results! It was insanely easy. Scrub it onto the headlights with an old towel, rinse it off with a wet paper towel and boom, done. The headlights on my 2007 car look new!

Difficult to work with...
Don't put on a hot windshield. This will not take Rain-X off if you're trying to. This stuff is hard to get off if the windshield is warm or if you apply a little more than suggested. That being said, very little residue after you remove it. I thought there may be a powdery residue. I've been unhappy after applying Rain-X due to reflective residue on windshield....this doesn't get it off.

WORKS ON MY SHOWER WINDOWS!
The media could not be loaded. OH MY GOSH!! With a bit of elbow grease, this stuff works a treat on shower glass! I am totally over built up water marks, it’s amazing the difference it made after I used it. The video isn’t great because 1 hand cleaning while holding shower door with leg and filming is difficult

Does not work
Purchased this because it said could remove Rain-X. Nope! Rain-X is a good product for "1 time" use. Warning, If you apply a 2nd time, it leaves a residue that will blur the glass and worse! The film will refract light and cut visibility to a dangerous level at night. I tried everything I could get my hands on to remove, paint thinner, acetone, softscrub, amonia, vinegar... So I went to the source, they said this stuff. I used it 10 times, with some serious elbow. Had to toss the rags used, replaced wiper blades 3 times. Rain-X is a nasty product. Be Ware!
