Better workout than a regular jumprope, but I expected it to be thicker.
Review of: Weighted Jump RopeThe weighed jumprope is well built and comes with a storage bag. The handles are coated in plastic and the center of the rope is also covered with a sleeve to protects it against wear. The rope itself weighs about 2 pounds and is 105” long. The diameter of the rope is a little less than 1 inch. It’s about half the diameter of your standard battle rope (see picture). From a weight standpoint, this is a little heavier than some standard jumpropes but much lighter than a battle rope. I’ve used heavier jumpropes before, and this what I would consider in the middle. It’s thicker in pictures and this is what I had wanted and expected. This jumprope is definitely a more difficult workout as opposed to a regular jumprope - although I’m not sure that it is 10X more effective than a regular jumprope as the listing advertises. However, I do agree that it does work every muscle harder and I do feel that my muscles are more engaged, especially my arms and shoulders. From the standpoint of receiving a cardio workout, I do also feel winded faster and my sets and shorter due to this.Overall, this is great addition to any workout routine and effective for strength and cardio conditioning. I will still use a regular jumprope in addition to this one, and I think that both complement each other nicely to provide a more complete workout.

pleasant surprise
wow this is fun! your timing has to change bc the weighted rope doesn't travel as quickly as a regular jump rope. it increased my heart rate in seconds. I tried to jump as fast as with a regular rope and i tired out quicker than with a regular rope

Love this jump rope
I recently purchased the Weighted Jump Rope for Women and Men and have been extremely impressed with its quality and effectiveness. This battle rope has become an essential part of my home gym and outdoor exercise routine, helping me to improve my muscle strength and lasting power.First and foremost, the weighted jump rope is made with durable materials that can withstand high-intensity workouts. The handles are comfortable to grip and the rope itself is thick and heavy, providing a challenging workout for both men and women. I appreciate that it is adjustable in length, making it suitable for people of different heights.I have found that using this weighted jump rope has greatly improved my cardio endurance and overall muscle strength. The added weight adds an extra level of difficulty to my jump rope routine, making it more effective in building muscle and burning calories. I have also noticed an increase in my agility and coordination, as I have to constantly adjust and control the rope while jumping. One of the best things about this jump rope is its versatility. Not only can it be used indoors in my home gym, but it is also perfect for outdoor workouts. I love taking it to the park or the beach for a change of scenery. It is lightweight and easy to transport, making it a convenient option for on-the-go exercise.Another great feature of this battle rope is that it can be used for a variety of exercises, not just jumping. I have incorporated it into my strength training routine by using it for exercises such as tricep extensions and bicep curls. It adds an extra element of resistance and intensity to these exercises, helping me to see faster results.Overall, I highly recommend the Weighted Jump Rope for Women and Men to anyone looking to improve their muscle strength and lasting power. It is a high-quality, versatile, and effective piece of equipment that has become a staple in my fitness routine. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete, this battle rope is a great addition to any workout regimen.

A little too short for me
The role is thick and well made with rubberized grips and a durable plastic sheath that protects the rope from beibg frayed where it touches the floor. The rope is pretty thick so if you have small hands, it may be difficult to grip and properly swing it.I’m 5’9 and found that it barely cleared my head which is concerning given the thickness and weight of the rope. It would certainly hurt if it smacked into my head.Would also have been great if they tapered the ends so it I would be easier to hold and flip the wrists.

MY SHOULDERS BURNNNNNNN
I have been trying to step up my fitness game by incorporating some jump roping into the mix. I started out with a normal jump rope and wow.... You wont get a work out like this with a normal jump rope. I do this on shoulder day towards the end of my work out. I get a massive pump going towards the end of the work out. I never would have thought swinging around a 2.5 lb rope would take so much energy but holy smokes what a great workout. I'm 5'10" and its the perfect length for me without having to trim. The rope has held up great. I was worried it would start to fray or get damaged after a while. But it has a sheathing around the part that actually makes contact with the ground that seems to protect it super well. if you want to step up your jump rope game, This is the way to do it.
