So far so good
Works just like the original remote so it’s compatible with Fire TV and easy to set up. My husband wouldn’t have noticed the difference if I didn’t tell him. Voice control works fine too and seems durable.

Great replacement remote
This remote worked perfectly for my old 2018 fireTV. Worked where others in the past have failed right out of the box.

Remote
Works great. Original remote quit working. I have an Amazon Fire Tv. This is a fire remote, so everything linked up perfect.

Perfect. Exactly like the original one shipped with my television. Easy to set up.
The media could not be loaded. Comfortable & Familiar FeelAfter accidentally losing my original remote, this Insignia replacement felt just like the one I’d grown used to—same layout, same light weight, and that reassuring click on each button. As one impressed user on Amazon put🎤 Voice Control—Kind of Hits the MarkThe voice button works reliably… after a minor hiccup. I had to unplug and reconnect my TV once for Alexa to wake up, but since then, voice search has been smooth. Amazon reviews echo this:“When you first use the new remote the voice control may not work right away… then try the voice control. that should do it.” Still, if you’re expecting flawless voice commands from day one, be ready for a quick reset!⸻🔧 Easy Setup (Mostly)Pairing was straightforward—just hold the Home button and voilà, it popped up on my screen. But one Redditor found that generic Fire Stick remotes didn’t work on Insignia TVs:“The Stick and Cube remotes will not work with the TVs… You should buy this remote: … Insignia NS‑RCFNA‑21So this is really the one you want if your TV is Insignia (or compatible like Toshiba or Pioneer).⸻💰 Solid Value for the Priceit’s cheaper and more reliable than picking up a universal remote or fancy alternatives. Most users find it worth it—some even grabbed multiple: great and easily programs to my different FireTVs so I can use it in different rooms. That said, a few caution it’s not perfect—like the Amazon seller who said they received a used unit or one whose buttons failed intermittently but those seem outliers.⸻🔋 Battery Door & Build QuirksI haven’t had issues, but some reviews mention loose battery covers or minor hiccups in button response. It’s a basic remote—durable enough but not indestructible.⸻✅ Bottom LineShould you buy it? Absolutely—if you:• Have an Insignia (or compatible) Fire TV• Want a familiar, easy-to-pair voice remote• Don’t need ultra-premium build quality or backlit buttonsFor me, it’s been a hassle-free replacement that feels just like “home” in my hand again. Minus a tiny reboot moment, it’s been working great, and I appreciate having Alexa voice control without hunting for batteries every week.⸻Final Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA dependable, no-nonsense replacement—easy to set up, fits the TV perfectly, and gets you back to binge-watching in no time. Only small quirks keep it from a perfect score.
