the best daily moisturizer very lightweight and the smell is amazing

Smooth, smells good and my mom likes it. Now she wants the whole line!

I use this after spritzing my hair with water and seal it in with oil. I couln't believe how moisturized my ends were after a week. That's a big deal for me as I live in the desert of hot Sunny California. When I took out my braids for wash day I contemplated going another few days, that's how soft my hair was. I wish this came in bigger sizes because this stuff is the truth. I'm still learning my hair but this lotion has definitely helped me a lot in the short amount of time I've been using it.

I use the whole line, the daily moisturizer smells great and gives my hair a good texture but it is hard to find

I use oil on my locs so I was expecting this to be creamy but its oily. I'll use until someone creates something better for my locs

I absolutely love this product, I don’t love the price of it but the results of using are impeccable, I will only purchase this product as long as it is on the shelf and available, I do not like the new and improved product recently put on the one with the yellow writing it’s horrible that they changed the ingredients. Be careful even though it says it’s the same it’s NOT, and it’s frustrating that this issue happens often that we fall in love with a product and the company feels like there is a better way to make it better STOP!! Leave this product alone and go back to the original product. I will never buy the new one again I will stick to this one the old not the so called improvements.

I used the Design Essentials daily moisturising lotion as a refresher between wash days. Always had problems finding a refresher that l was satisfied with but this worked amazingly. Only needed to soak my hair under the shower and then applied the lotion. I normally section my hair on wash day but just applied this lotion in one go as l didn't have the time to section. I wasn't expecting it to work as well as it did especially as l didn't section. I was so pleased with the results...great definition, shiny and a light airy feel and the volume l had was to die for! It's a lightweight product which works better on my fine, low porosity, dense strands. I'm mixed race and have 3c/4a hair. Will definitely be stocking up on this one, that's for sure!

Such a great product for natural 4c hair. I've seen comments about the lotion being too slimey- I find that quality absolutely great as my hair prefers that kind of slip. When I add an oil (such as warmed shea or olive oil) after applying the lotion, it takes away the slime and my hair feels silkier (this needs to be done on damp hair). A little really does go a long way- I've had this bottle for 7 months now and I think I have one months worth left.

I love the Designer Essentials range of hair products. Their shampoo, conditioner, honey curl activator and curl mousse are all excellent. But not this product. This moisturising lotion was sticky like shampoo rather than containing any slip like a proper hair lotion. My hair felt sticky and dirty after using this, so much so that I had to wash my hair to get the stuff out.Based on most of the other reviews for this product, I'm wondering if I got shampoo put in the wrong bottle by mistake. I may buy one more to see if that was indeed the case.In the meantime, I'm disappointed.
