I bought this to cook pasta in, to keep it from sticking to the pot (no dirty pot). Also to avoid dirtying up a colander. I was afraid the pasta would stick to the cotton bag, but it didn't. It was very easy to lift the bag out--no pot holder needed, sit it in the sink to rinse and drain, then open it up into the serving dish, where the hot sauce was waiting.

I have been lookling for these bags for years. I was making my own!! I like that they come in different sizes. These 24 inch ones are perfect for our clam bake. They do not disintegrate .... very sturdy to hold heavy veggies. So happy to have found these. Fast delivery too!

A time saver for preparing clams for a clambake. Prevents the loss of the clam to the bottom of the steamer. Smaller than I imagined however. Would not be able to put many other items in with the clams. The picture shows perhaps 8 shells with half the bag still empty-just not true!

The boiling bags work well for our annual New England Clambake hosted by our local volunteer Fire Dept. The bake serves about 500 people and the bags make serving a complete dinner easy with no failures.

There was a day you could find these bags in any grocery store. The bags are good size, we had a family clam boil and you can put a good serving of meat, clam and potatoes with room to spare.

I put around 25 little neck clams in each bag for a clam bake. Didn’t lose one clam to the bottom of pot! Enough product to use for a long time!
