Great Replacement for the Original Technics Hinge
Great Replacement for the Original Technics Hinge. Works just like the original. I suggest you watch a YouTube video on removing the original hinge to avoid breaking the turntable base. Highly recommend this as a replacement.

If you need this hinge be aware
Will this work on a SL3300 yes with a little modification as the rivet/bolt is just a little too longAs well as a crooked construction , the metal piece is slightly off on on side and rivet sits crookedIt implied multiple in order as in twoNeeding two as it should be a set but no you get just the one for 18$

Workable on Technics SL220 turntable, but you must modify them a little
These claim to fit the Technics SL-220 turntable, but they will only if you modify them to fit. The seller should make this modification if they're going to claim they fit this turntable. Using a shorter rivet would solve the problem. These dust cover hinges use rivets that the hinge (and the dust cover) pivots up and down on. The hinges withe the rivets sticking out each side have to fit into slots on the back of the Technics SL-220. On the back, there is a pair of plastic tabs at each side that these metal hinges must slide between. If the rivet is too wide -- which it is -- you can't squeeze the hinges into the plastic slots or you might break them. Not a smart design. The solution is to use a metal file to file down each end of the rivet. Don't wear through them all the way or the rivet will come loose. But you can take off a lot of metal -- on the head of the rivet until the head is nearly flat. That will shorten the rivet just enough to slide the hinge between the two plastic tabs down into the slot that holds the hinge. A bit annoying, but the hinge does hold the cover up.

Requires Modification to fit Technics SL-D1
Well, it fit my Technics SL-D1....eventually. The rivet holding the joint together is way too long. I had to spend an inexcusably long time filing the rounded head of the pin down, almost flat. Then use clamps to bend down the other sides. The spring also isn't strong enough to hold the lid up, unless it's beyond 90 degrees. If you're willing to spend the time modifying it, it's a servicable replacement for the original hinge, at about half the price of eBay.

Perfect!
Works perfectly on my old Technics SLD212 cover. Also I noticed that this hinges plastic support is beefed up in thickness to hopefully prevent any future cracking from the spring pressure. Great job! That was the main fault/weakness to these hinges.

The size does not correspond to the original.
The size does not correspond to the original. In the picture on the left is the original detail, on the right is the new one. It can be seen that the pin has a large head and it prevents the workpiece from entering the hole.
