Our family plays dominos often, this is the second time I bought this set - we have 4 boxes! Now we can have set exclusively for traveling. They are thick and great quality. The wooden boxes make a nice presentation and easy to transport. Most definitely worth the money!

I appreciate the extra thickness. We play at dinner time so it helps keep them standing on the table.

My YMI Domino set arrived today and I wanted to give everyone my impressions.The set is quite nice, certainly worth the $49.99 I paid for it on Amazon. All in all I am very satisfied -- the tiles are very nicely done, have a great feel to them, and the black pips are neat and clean. The box is nice, OK, but the finish was fair/poor on it.But there are a couple of points that do not live up to the ad that ran for it on Amazon.#1- The set does not weigh 2# as advertised--- on a accurate gram scale it weighed in around 1.7 pounds.The tiles are quite nice, very neatly finished, and have a good feel to them - but I was a little disappointed with the weight of them. I weighed most of them, and they only weighed 26+ grams each, with a total set weight of about 736 grams (or 1.65 pounds not 2# advertised). Still the set has good weight to it-- just not super heavy.The tile size is as advertised 2.12"L, 1.1" X .45" thick ( slightly under .5 thickness).The box was nice enough for the price but not as nicely stained/finished as the one in the photo. The stain barely covered the wood and in a few small spots/blotches it did not completely cover the wood-- I put a heavy coat of "Miniwax" dark oak wood stain on it and it dried in beautifully, and looks much better.Again, I am very satisfied with the set, and it certainly is worth paying $38-49 for it. Perhaps my expectations were unrealistic because you would have to pay $150-400 for a nicer set of dominoes, and a real nicely finished good box.I don't think you will get a better set in this price range! Their ad needs to be a little more accurate.Joseph
