Excellent quality metal construction, cakes slide out easily and well-formed from the tin. The recipe that comes with it is also very nice - I find five unwaxed lemons provides enough rind and juice, and also enough juice left over for a litre of home-made lemonade.As a note to owners of fan-based ovens however, you may find that cakes rise too much in the centre of the pan leading to a domed base. This is probably due to temperature differences in the middle of the oven, perhaps exacerbated by American recipes. Annoyingly I've been unable to find a bain-marie tin large enough to fit this cake pan into in order to help alleviate this problem, but at least it's usually easy to squish the resulting bulge down by pressing a bread board onto it while the cake is still fresh from the oven :D

Absolutely love, love, love this tin! One might think the tin to be expensive but it's worth every penny. Beautifully made with fabulous detail. The tin came with a recipe which produced a delicious and light sponge cake. In fact, it was THE best sponge cake I have ever made!My friend bought the winter trees bundt tin and thought the same too. We have decided that we ought to begin a Nordic Ware tin borrowing library. Off to by another heirloom tin!PS Greased the tin with Trex and dusted with flour which worked a treat. Also used Sainsbury's sponge flour and omitted the raising agents which recipe said to add (American cake flour is fine plain flour.)

I confess to being addicted to Nordicware tins and this is no exception. The honey & lemon recipe that comes with the tin is lovely, though it would probably bake it for 5 - 10 minutes less next time. If you take time to grease the tin thoroughly with melted butter first, then sprinkle it with flour and shake off the excess, the cake comes out of the tin easily. I also bought some sugared bumble bees through Amazon (see my other reviews) to use next time which I know taste fine as I obviously had to try one first! Worth buying.

An attractive and novel design for a honey cake, if the pan was a bit pricey. The included recipe works well if one follows the instructions; the end product did not last long!

Fantastic baking tin. Cake comes out very easily and the included recipe is delicious. Officially my new favorite brand of bakeware.

There was no recipe in the box. Other than that, the pan is very good quality and the cake turned out great.

Fantastic quality, beautiful cake. Make sure to grease well and let it cool partly before removing the cake. I put the tin in the freezer and grease with melted butter.
