Outstanding value. Works great.
I needed something that would measure larger capacitors and ESR is a bonus. Works beautifully. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Good price
I purchased this to verify any questionable capacitors. It is priced really good and I wasn't expecting a lot but I was surprised at how well it actually works. Really simple to use and fairly accurate. Many years ago I had a very expensive Sencore tester it was designed for in circuit testing not sure if this would do that but I really don't need it to. If your looking for a low cost tester this will do the job.

Better than expected
This works surprisingly well for me, and the battery has never died on me. Extremely easy to use and you can even use multimeter leads. Small and compact with a bright screen that you can see over the LEDS in your workspace.

Works, but could be better
I used this device to help me repair a car stereo with a bad cd changer input(that I use as an aux port). I fully disassembled it down to the circuit board and found a bunch of capacitors had leaked onto the board. Thankfully it had not been long and the corrosion was minimal. I tested all the caps on the board, but only 70% of them could be tested directly on the board (meaning "in-circuit"). The rest had to be removed from the board to be tested. Looking at it one way it saved me a lot of time testing if I'd had to unsolder them all. On the other hand, my expectation was that it could properly test in-circuit so it ended up taking way longer than I had expected. In the end I replaced all the bad caps and the cd-changer input works correctly again. It was cheap enough to be useful for a hobbyist, but I'd think long and hard about buying it again versus a better unit that can test in-circuit. We are talking hours longer for diagnosis, and you'd better have replacement caps on hand if you screw any up desoldering them.
