This book is brilliant. I borrowed it from the school library for a project. It is very detailed and I really respect the author. She has shown her skills and encourages others into farming. She is not afraid to be a female farmer but instead she shows that she can work with cattle and she knows about them, while encouraging others to learn from her. She even talks about how difficult it is to separate feelings for the animals when it comes to slaughter time but she explains how it is essential if the business is to succeed. She also describes how important farming is to farmers and how it is not just a job but a way of life. Nowadays we are losing our touch and understanding of farming and she explains so simply, delicately and yet factually.
