From the start.. I already figured the one with a fist staff is the leader... He appears wise. The one with the mask is cool. I can't figure for him to hold it in- like in the advertisement pic, I just put it on his face. The projectile is great. It has rope around it so you don't lose it from the shooter & it gives you some slack play and power - easily knocks down other figures. For the money.. Worth. Really strong sun resistant plastic, while this is important in the desert I'm at.If you already got the fort. Well guess what. Now you need a crew of loyal apes to run your rig. I got me the whole package. It adds drastically to my arsenal of play-power and imaginative story telling with youngsters & old still young at heart. If you are into fun and toys.. Fisher Price is a good company to support.I gotta let you know.. I'm not Telling you anything. I'm allowed you to know based of perspective and experience.. You need this toy. Invest in the entire playset if you got a youngster trying to jump train on imagination and get his or her brains glued to a cell phone screen.. Imagination is SUPER important..All the kids want these days is roblox and gta5 on the new playstation x-box non-sense.. They aren't gaining skills.. They are durdling and keeping themselves tame and lame in the body mind & spirit.. Toys are the factor people.. It's not how you work, it's how you play.

My little buddy got this for Christmas and he really dug it! The figures seem solidly made, the accessories are fun, the look of things is colorful, and of course they'll work with any other Imaginext playsets. If you have a young'un who likes stuff like superheroes and action figures, it's hard to go wrong with this set!

I have a grodd figure (dc comics) so wanted some ape characters to go along with him and this pack was great as it features 4 different ape characters. Quality is great and each one is highly detailed. I don’t know if kids are still interested by apes (good for Kong or planet of the ape fans) but also fun if they like to form different factions/battles as there are two red guys and two blue guys. Each one having different weapons also allows for more varied “fighting” scenarios.

These are nice sized, sturdy toys. Grandsons 7 and 5 loved them.

For monkey or gorilla lovers. Fun , some come with weapons for fun play
