Replacement carburetor
I've had issues on my lawn mower from the day it was new with a carburetor. I just happened to come across this carburetor looking for something else on Amazon. I went ahead and ordered it. It was a total redesign only thing I had to modify was a cut a piece of plastic away from a control rod about 2 minutes worth of work. My mower has never started this easy and ran this strong since I've owned it and I've had it for 8 years. Had my old carburetor rebuilt at least five times over those 8 years. I would buy another one of these carburetors if I ever get a more with the old style on it again. I give it an excellent!

Only 1 to 2 uses then get your tools out
The good and the bad.The good: arrived quickly and was almost identical to the carb on my mower with only one spring I was not able to use, however this spring did not seem necessary for what it did, I believe it was suppose to close a choke if the motor was running to fast, not a governor but it was attached to a plastic “flap” that had long since broke so whatever function it was supposed to perform the old wasn’t either. It was easy to install and I had clearance for everything. After completion the mower fired right up and the choke and throttle control were amazing coPared to what I used to have. It was cheapThe bad: the staring and running perfectly worked for 2 starts 2 days in a row. It was parked a week and when I tried to start it the next time it killed the battery attempting (tried first with no choke, then with, then half choke,) the only way I could start it was full choke and manually manipulate the throttle linkage on the carb itself. After warming up, it started and ran ok. Third attempt to start resulted in another dead battery with attempts to start normally) I leave this mower on a trickle charger so the battery is always full. After messing with it and charging the battery again I was able to get it to start and again it did fine once warm. Today’s attempt I am charging battery for the third time. Pulled and cleaned plugs (they were wet with fuel) so I blew it out reinstalled and attempted again. Still won’t start. I only expected a year out of it but only got 2 to 3 uses and will now have to tear this mower apart again. It was cheap

It worked as expected for a great price
After a marathon Youtube session to diagnose my Craftsman Riding mower problem (Brigs V twin engine surging), I determined that I needed to rebuild the carburetor. The OEM Mikuni carb is about 10 years old and rebuild kits are available on Amazon for about $65. When I saw this complete aftermarket carb for about 1/2 the price. Only 1 minor issue with the fit, I had to grind a little off the plastic intake manifold to get a lever to clear, and it worked like a charm. No rebuilding required, just a carb swap out for half as much as the kit alone.
