These wedges saved me from calling a handyman to fix a wobble on my ceiling fan! The ceiling fan was making a rhythmic tapping noise and I was worried it might be the blades. After closely examining it, it turned out to be the base of the fan wobbling against the ceiling. So I was thinking a wooden wedge might help by inserting it in-between the base and ceiling. I turned to Amazon which has almost everything you might need and found these RUBBER wedges, which I never heard of, but I bought it and they're great! I wedged two of them together in between the ceiling and the fan base, and the wobble and noise stopped!I also used them to put a wedge in a table fan to stop the ticking noise. The round circle with the logo on the front of the grille from tapped against the grille which made an annoying noise, and that rubber wedge stopped that ticking noise!

They were a little thinner than I imagined, but just used 2 to balance a very wobbly nightstand. They do the job to stabilize and stay in place. Been using cardboard for years to try and stabilize the nightstand, but the cardboard always slipped out. Finally decided to look for alternative shims. I didn't know this type existed, so was pleased to find something non-wood. The smaller dimensions overall make them less obtrusive, and the clear that I got makes them almost invisible. Good buy for the purpose.

Just moved into a new house and we needed to deal with some wobbly tables and bookshelves. These are designed to stack together if needed to accommodate a larger than usual gap between a furniture leg and th floor. Good price plus unexpected functionality.

I like the idea of these clear wedges and it seems like they would anchor each other and be secure because of the ribbing. I think you can't stack more than 2 though. I have a very heavy chest on an uneven floor and I needed 3 of these wedges to fill the gap. When my husband lowered the chest, which he'd lifted so I could place the wedges properly, everything held for about 10 seconds and then the wedges suddenly slid apart and out from under the leg which crashed to the ground and the chest almost tipped over on me.So I think I'll have to find something more solid like a wood shim for the chest. But I'm keeping these because I think they will work singly or doubled up under lighter furniture. The idea is great, but things do have limitations and I should have been a little smarter.
