GREAT PROTECTION IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES
I got this to protect my hips and bones when riding on my ebike. I'm 64 years old and felt I needed the extra protection for my bones. The gear is easy to wear, very comfortable, and pads everything in the right place. I didn't experience any slipping or rising. I got a size small but there was plenty of room to move around. Has a Velcro opening in the front to make it easier to slip on and off. It gave me a little extra assurance on my bike riding confidence. After several hours of riding, it was still comfortable.

Amazing protection and quality
I originally bought a cheaper pair and after one fall I injured my tailbone really bad it was so difficult to snowboard for 2 weeks ! sometimes buying something cheap can be a waste of money so I ended buying this and I believe it serve the purpose for what it cost! in terms of functionality as a beginner snowboarder I haven’t had any issues and my mobility is fine so it doesn’t interfere with performance and it fit great for me ( large size) ; it doesn’t weight a lot and yes it can be a little bulky so you may have to wear pants that are not extremely tight but let me tell you that you will be protected … I fell a couple more times and it didn’t hurt the way it hurt with the cheaper pair I bought before! I used them for a season and it hasn’t given me any tears ! functionally is great like I said but I find my self lifting and tightening it throughout the day to make sure they are in place!

Well, the sizing is all off by 1 or 2 sizes - but still - Nice padded shorts.
Well, the sizing is all off by 1 or 2 sizes, or - all of a sudden I got thinner. It feels like a diaper, and I'm laughing at it. Okay - Due to being a driver, this extra padded shorts does the job, rather than carrying a seat pad all the time (and forgetting it). Yep, I'm wearing it all the time at work, cause my caboose has practically disappeared - due to lack of leg activity, age, or you can say - gravity stole it over the years. Nice padded shorts.

great protection
We race motocross, injuries suck. The hip pads that come with motocross pants are pretty wimpy and they have zero butt protection. Over the years after a few of us had bruised hips and injured tailbones we thought we'd give these a try.For us we needed to go 1 pants size larger to fit under our pants, and it makes our butt look a little bigger, and initially like any new equipment it feels a little awkward, but after riding/racing a few times it now feels normal, we feel much more protected and now I wouldn't consider anything else, to ride without it would feel like not wearing a helmet. I can't believe we've gone this long without the better protection, I wish we'd have known about them earlier. If you ride motocross, BMX, skateboard, snowboard, etc. I would highly recommend these.

Works great, new staple piece
Finally got a chance to use these bad boys and they worked amazing! I bought them after a really hard fall on my tailbone snowboarding. Bought them, and a couple weeks later was finally able to try them out. My tailbone was still pretty sore that trip, but none of my falls made my tailbone sore or feel worse at any point, so I think they worked pretty dang well! They fit snug and the Velcro waist helps keep them exactly where I need them. I saw reviews on other types of similar shorts that said snow pants would pull them down, and that was not the case with these and my snow pants. Highly highly recommend!

So protective!
These protective shorts are absolutely amazing. My husband was diagnosed with lymphoma and along his right hip. He had severe pain. He was told if he holds his body again. The lymphoma will come back so he ordered a pair of these protective shorts and they are fabulous for him.. these are actually being used for work as he is a contractor. These things are protecting him 360° around his hip area thighs, etc.. he wears them daily now and absolutely loves them. They are extremely comfortable for him, and He’s not worried about trauma to his body any longer so if they work this well for a type of cancer, imagine what they will do for you when you are snowboarding or skiing. Seriously, try them.!

Did not protect my tailbone in a mild fall
While snowboarding, I fell on my back while facing uphill during an S-turn (edge catch), and I felt a shock through my tailbone and lumbar spine just above it. Immediately had trouble walking, and pain / restricted movement that got better and worse for over a month afterwards, worsened by exercise. MRI showed an incomplete fracture. I had caught the accident on video: I did not fall from any height, just straight onto my back. Something that any sufficiently-protective crash pants should have shielded without issue. These seem to be thin where it counts and I would recommend investing in better protection if you care about your bones/spine. Otherwise, you may find yourself instead subsequently investing in a back brace, donut pillow, and ergonomic chair, like I did, not to mention the time spent on doctor's appointments and not on snowboarding.
