Does The Job And Worth The Effort
It actually worked pretty good. I tried it dry shaving, since wet shaving can be messy, and it did the job. It's tricky to get all the nooks and crannies, depending upon the shape and musculature of your back, but it is doable once you see the spots you missed in a mirror. I'm guessing if you have a partner, they can make even easier work of it for you. The blades appear to be designed well not to nick and cut as long and you don't obviously try to "dig in" and merely brush back and forth, like you see in the videos. All in all, it's a good grooming tool .

Better than the listing lead me to expect
When I was browsing Amazon for products that would make it easier to shave my back and shoulders, this kept coming up top of the list. There were good reviews, but I was apprehensive to try it. You see, this clearly states that it is a back shaver for men, and I’m not a man. I am, however, a transmasc nonbinary person and over a year of taking testosterone has lead to a small jungle forming on my shoulders.I didn’t know what using a men’s shaver could potentially do to me as a not-man - would it turn me into a man? Would all my skin fall off where ever it touched? Would simply opening the package burn my hands?I decided to accept the possible risks and give it a try anyway, as it did seem like the easiest and best option available.Thankfully I can now report that all it did was shave my hair- and did so extremely well!! I decided to try it in the shower for my first use, as I have somewhat sensitive skin and didn’t want to give my entire back razor burn. I did make sure to use body wash and exfoliate before shaving - like you would before shaving most other areas. It did seem to do a better job/closer shave below my shoulders… but I do get some breakouts on my shoulders, so I was taking a little extra caution there along with not having as easy of a time directing it with my hand well above my head.In all honesty I am glad to have made this purchase. This tool made something quick and easy that used to be a long and laborious process. It also included a suction cup to hang on the shower wall, which is a nice touch seeing as my shower already has pretty limited shelf space. I’ll update this review if anything changes, but bad branding aside I would recommend this for anyone who would rather have a smoother back.

Finally, a solution you can do on your own!
This thing is a game-changer. I’ve tried a few different ways to deal with back hair, and nothing has been as easy or effective as the BAKblade 2.0. The long, curved handle makes it super easy to reach every spot without needing help, and the blades give a surprisingly close shave with no irritation (as long as you go slow).I’ve used it both dry and in the shower: it works well either way.Only downside is the replacement blades can be a bit pricey, but honestly, the convenience and results are worth it. If you’re tired of struggling with grooming your back, this is 100% worth it.

Pricey, unwarranted price increases but works well.
I bought this in 2018 and it finally broke to the point I could no longer use it. When I went to purchase a new one I saw the price and thought there was no way I spent that much on it in 2018. Yes, I understand inflation etc. But the going rate of inflation this item should cost around 35 dollars. I paid 27 dollars for it in 2018 and it currently sits at 65 dollars in 2025. Literally double the rate of inflation. In Oct 2022 the price went form 32 to 55 dollars overnight. Then in APR 2024 it went from 48 to 64. These are price increases that are predatory. I rated the item high as it worked well but in less than a few months the blades started to corrode, and in 1 year the flimsy end piece that retain the blades broke and I just dealt with it. A few months ago the blade slides from to the point of making the item useless. If your model is blades then make a carriage that will last forever. I have razors from the 1920s that still take a standard razor and work today. If your model is replace the main unit every few years then drop your price to a more reasonable level. This thing is plastic after all. Would I recommend this item, yes. Would I tell you to stay away from clones. No. Get your moneys worth and buy something much cheaper with decent reviews, especially considering the main component will fail eventually.
