Samsung Battery EB-BG900BBEGWW / EB-BG900BBC 100% ORIGINAL Official Galaxy FOR SM-G900 S5 GT-i9600

After investing a good few hours reading online about batteries for my s5, for the first time in my life, I decided to purchase an authentic original item. I've always gone for the third party or cheaper option and I've learnt the hard way that "buy cheap and buy twice". Well this one is "buy expensive, buy never".I'm a little bewildered at how poor this battery is, to such an extent that I think it might just be my phone that's the issue, ad there are many positive reviews about it.Day 1: Charged overnight to 100%. Unplugged at 07:40am, took it to work with low usage. No videos or calls made as I was at work. I played a word game for about an hour max. 3.29pm: 4% (photo attached). Plugged it into charge again and it heated up a lot. At one point of using it whilst plugged in, the battery went down by a %. I used to get the same problem in the final days of my Galaxy S2 also. When unplugged and being used, it also heats up, which is a symptom of high battery drain. Charged around 3 times in the first day.Day 2: Charged overnight to 100%. Picked the phone up and it was very hot and I knew this will not perform again. Unplugged at 08:40am and went to work. It's now 3.17pm: 14% left. Low to medium usage, no phone calls or videos.I'm likely to return the battery but I might give it another chance by hard resetting the phone, as my old 2 year old battery was behaving similarly, but not as bad as thiS one!If after the hard reset, the same issue persists, then I'm doomed. What then, is the attraction to a phone with a replaceable battery?Disappointed.

If this is really a genuine Samsung battery I'd be very surprised.At first glance the box looks the real deal, a closer look and you see that the Model Number is a sticker put onto a generic Samsung box.Inside, the battery tray is not specific to the supplied battery and there's no case on the battery. The Battery itself is Black with a Silver border, Genuine Samsung batteries have a darker greyish silver border.As for capacity, even after a couple of charge cycles, the capacity is abysmal, after 3 hours on standby from a full charge it's dropped to 55% and I've lost another 7% typing this review.

I have it for 3 months exactly, when arrived worked well, yesterday the phone went to the boot loop and I tried all the standard ways but found on one forum that the problem is in the battery. I replaced it with an old original battery and the phone is back to life. So, this "great" "100% ORIGINAL" battery became corrupted after 3 months of use. AVOID THIS SELLER AT ANY COST!!!!!!

Genuine Samsung battery. The old battery on my s5 would last half a day and was starting to get very hot, so hot in fact that I ha fro turn my phone off for fear that it would get damaged.This replacement battery has definitely improved battery life. I get just over a day from the s5 now, but more importantly it doesn’t get hot as it did with the original battery.For the money, I feel it’s been a good investment, it should give me another year or two use out of the phone.I knocked 1 star off because the battery life is not as great as I think it could be, I’m sure I used to get 2 days when I first got the phone. I’m not sure how much the age of the phone itself has an impact, but either way I was hoping for a little more. Still a decent replacement battery.

My S5 is about 3 years old, and the original battery was getting tired. Unfortunately this replacement doesn't seem to last any longer - still can't get a day out of it. But I keep it charged up and carry it as a spare, so not a complete waste of money.

Bought 1st August, from new not lasting anything like the duration I would expect from an "original official Samsung" battery. Over the last few weeks the battery life has decreased substantially more. Has got increasingly hot when charging and when down to below 10% phone has started to go completely dead without warning. It is not an issue with the phone itself which works perfectly with other well used batteries all of which now last longer than the now unfit for purpose replacement.

I purchased a cheap replacement battery from elsewhere and its performance was no better than the two-year-old battery I was replacing. This one IS the genuine thing. I immediately noticed how much better the performance was even after the first charge. Holds its charge well throughout the day and comes with a useful plastic carrying case. Definitely a case of 'you gets what you pays for'.

Great! I don't have Internet in my house and often have to use my phones WiFi on my computer, which uses a lot of battery. My phones battery was quite old so it ran out of juice ridiculously fast, but this new battery lasts so much longer even when doing things that drain the battery a lot (mobile tethering, Bluetooth, Pokemon Go etc.)
