Had mine for 9 years without problems
Figured I’d finally write a review for this thing. Bought this in 2013 for my 2012 Civic. It was $36 dollars at the time. I see it’s over $50 now. Car still runs great in 2022 with 188k miles on it. It’s a little bit annoying to clean the filter and wait for it to dry before reinstalling. So I guess it saved a little money over the long run. Paper filters would have cost me roughly $250 over 9 years. It’s a minor long term investment. No problems with the MAF sensor. No noticeable performance or gas mileage differences.Car has never needed any repair other than basic maintenance (fluids, filters, belts, hoses, etc).

2014 Honda Civic EX Coupe
I used this in my previous lease (2012 Honda Civic EX Sedan), and the same model fits my new lease (had I known this, I would have removed the filter from my old lease to use in this). It's super easy to install: just pop the hood, unclip 3 clips to open the air intake filter compartment, and replace the stock filter. With my previous lease, I waited about half a year to install this filter (I wanted to wait until after the break-in period so that my mpg measurements would be more consistent), and I averaged a few mpg over the stock. I like the sound of the engine with this filter, and I noticed an increase in acceleration. With my current lease, I installed this filter after a week, so I am unable to do a mpg comparison; however the acceleration and sound differences were noticeable.Since my leases end well before the 50,000 mile mark, I don't have to worry about recharging it, nor do I have to worry about paying a lot of money for the cheap, paper air filters that the Service Centers use.

Outlives and Outperforms Standard Air Filters
I purchased a K & N filter for my 2001 GMC Sierra when it was new. I still own the GMC and it has the original K & N filter. It cleans better than a standard paper filter and can last up to 100,000 between cleanings/recharges. The filter is constructed in a way that produces a more laminar airflow to improve engine performance. Mass airflow senors receive airflow that's less turbulent, which stabilizes the signal to the engine's computer that determines fuel and air ratios for proper combustion. The special oil coating on the filter helps trap more dirt without restricting airflow for many many miles. I recently purchased this one for my new Honda. I'm getting the expected results. It will likely be the last filter I'll buy. This has been my experience and these are my opinions. I highly recommend K & N air filters.

Great air-filter for a great price.
I recently went to my mechanic for a service and was told that my air filter needs to be changed soon but didn't have a filter in stock. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise, I found this great k&n filter on amazon for same or lesser price than what I would pay for any other and it is a lifetime replacement product!! And i installed it myself (very easy). Have seen some improvement in power (very minor but noticeable) but no improvement in mileage as of now. I'm happy with this.

literally stuck a shipping label on the product itself, no shipping box???
PROS:-Great product, fits my 2014 Honda Civic perfectly. So easy to install, done in less than 2 minutes (1 minute of that was cleaning out the dead leaves around the car)-It is reusable and eco friendly, if that's your thing.-Don't need to replace it every 3-6 months. $$$ savings add up!-I can see my average MPG going up ever so slightly, but I've only had it for two weeks so time will tell.CONS:-A little pricier than your run of the mill $10 filter replacement. At the time of purchase this was around $45.-You will need a lubricating kit to clean it which you will need to buy separately.-They literally slapped a shipping label on the box and shipped it, did not package it or anything. WTF??? This seller is Amazon.com by the way, not a third-party seller. Also it came damaged when I received it, the box was wide open. I had to contact Amazon to get a replacement which was a huge headache.

Simple install, amazing results
As expected of K&N, their oil filters are top notch, however, installing this air filter was the best decision for my car. The Original Manufacturer's air filter was dirty and didn't deliver clean air and after installing this air filter I was astonished. The throttle response improved quite noticeably and low end torque seems to have improved as well. Overall, great product and seems able to live quite a lot longer than the OEM air filter.
