This is a lovely little set, it came very well protected and on opening had no damage.The slate base could be a little thicker however it looks natural in the way that the edges are shaped and comes with four small felt pads to protect your table top.The three bowls look like porcelain and are slightly translucent in appearance, each one is stamped on the base. The bowls sit into three recesses that have been modelled into the slate tray so that they won't slip or slide off when being carried. The bowls are a good size and just right for a large dip portion or for nuts, dried fruit or Twiglets, etc'As a centre piece for a buffet with dips in this looks really nice and much better than having odd bowls scattered around.I truly don't know why there are negative reviews of this item as in my mind it looks good, it does a great job and is easy to carry.

This is a very attractive and practical set, which arrives well-packaged. The dishes are a perfect size for putting in the centre of the table filled with various sauces or dips. The slate tray has little circles carved lightly into it so that the bowls fit inside them, which helps to prevent them slipping off the tray. There are felt feet on the bottom of the tray.These will be perfect for when we can have BBQ's again (whenever that is), as they can be filled with various condiments such as mustard and mayo and left out on the table for people to help themselves. They would also be useful at Christmas when you can fill them with sweets or chocolates.The set looks very elegant on the table, and as it’s black and white it will go with almost any decor.There is no price showing at present, but they would be good value for up to £20.

The tray has four felt feet. The three dipping bowls measure approximately 9 x 5 cm (width, depth). They are the perfect size for serving condiments or a selection of different olives, nuts. It totally depends on the individuals choice which makes them very versatile. I personally think that the slate tray adds that little extra elegance to a simple serving. Overall I think if you’re someone who likes to entertain, then they are ideal for £15.99

This set of three (microwavable) tea-cup sized bowls standing on a slate base would be a really attractive feature for a dinner table or a coffee table when you have guests. Perfect for dips to go with whatever nibbles.The bowls are solid and a decent weight, but there is no indent for them on the slate base so they would move around if knocked. The base itself is a gorgeous piece of real slate, with a sort of bevelled edge so it is not sharp to the touch.As you might have gathered this is really something to bring out when entertaining, but in these times why wait for that to happen? Is great for a selection of dips to have with tortillas and a box set, even if you are on your own.

This is a very elegant set. It consists of a slate slab, which has three circles cut in it. These form the placeholders for three gorgeous plain porcelain dip dishes. These are all the same size. The dishes are useful for sauces, nuts or antipasto, or could be used for sweeter dishes such as chocolates or marshmallows. The set looks very chic in a celebratory table setting, the bowls are easy to clean and the slate board just needs a wipe. I cannot comment as to price, as there isn't one. However, I suspect it looks more expensive than it actually was!

By the looks and feels of this M By Mikasa Set of 3 Porcelain Dip Dishes with Slate Serving Board, I would say that it's made of high quality. It has this mix looks of classic and contemporary.It has natural slate board jagged edges. It complements the three classic white porcelain dip dishes. It's low maintenance and durable as it can be used in the dishwasher and microwave. The dip dish depth is just right for most dips and sauces, but I usually use it as a dumpling or sushi sauce.

I love this set of dip bowls. They are a perfect size and the porcelain they are made from looks and feels pure. I love that they come with a slate plate to sit them on which makes for a very classy look on your party table. When I am not using the bowls I use the slate as a long coaster for my coffee table and have had some lovely compliments about it.Separately and together the bowls and plate are perfect, I just have to never let my husband wash them because they are too precious and I don't want them to get broken :)

Quite surprising how heavy these dishes with a slate board is...You can tell by the weight these are not cheaply made....3 little dip dishes on a slate tray....tray has the cut outs for the dishes to sit it ...making these non slip...Nice size dishes for dips ..nuts...sweets etc .....Slate tray got 4 non slip pads on bottom....Will look nice on a table whilst having a bbq....Not sure on price as not advertised but certainly worth £10-£15
