Easy to install and use
Brilliant product love that you can turn it around on its own turn table, very robust, nice looking vice, good grip, easy to use and definitely value for money, would recommend 😀

Good value, perfect for light DIY tasks.
As described and works fine for my tpye of home use.........I use it for odd jobs, mainly working on kids toys / bike and motorcycles as opposed to trying to clamp half a ton of wood, which judging by other reviews it is not so good for. It's a decent size for the kind of work I do with it, and seems to lock on position quite well, I am very happy with it, I suspect if you want to hold planks of wood in place whilst you chop them up a non-swivel type may be better, but for day-to-day tasks it seems very good.

Heavy duty vice
Doesn't come with hardware to mount it to bench. M5 bolts are a good fit for the mounting holes. The rotating mechanism gets in the way sometimes. I also don't find it very helpful. This item comes covered in grease, so wipe it down and or handle with gloves at first.

Quality
Sturdy but make sure that you use the correct size bolts to hide it down

Very good, considering the price
I don't think for the price I paid (£29 at the time of writing) you can't go too far wrong with this bench viceObviously it'll never be as good as a heavy duty vice from Record etc but these cost many many times the price.I use this in my garage for working on cars and I sometimes have a requirement to clamp a component in a vice while I work on it, and 4" is big enough capacity for holding most items I could think to use it for.Worth noting that it doesn't come with any mounting hardware. I drilled 4x 8mm holes in my bench and used some M8x45mm bolts and nuts that I already had spare which holds it down perfectly (obviously the depth of the bolts will vary depending on the surface you are mounting to, but I think M8 is a good size).

Not a great Vice overall, fatal flaw in the build
Out of the box it looks just fine. The acme screw opens and closes the jaws smoothly with little to no sticking. It's fairly sturdy in it's weight and castings are well produced. However, it has one fatal flaw in that under any pressure, the head swivels no matter how tightly the adjustment captive screw is tightened. It just will not stay square once any pressure is applied.I would and could not recommend this, or say that it is value for money (as it is quite expensive for a small vice), because of this flaw. It renders it useless for trying to actually hold stuff square.I get that it's light duty, but how light is "light" in Stanley's book?

Perfect for DIY - Compact & strong
My first vice, cheap and cheerful. Works like any other vice with good grip strength, etc for its compact size. Perfect for smaller DIY projects and acts as a 2nd pair of hands when your working by yourself.
