I had 2 butane lighters that just failed, so, fed up with cheap ones, I looked for a better make. I found this and thought it sounded like a bad joke. I can see that some might arrive with faults, like the USB socket not aligned, but both were fine. Well packaged with simple instructions.Of the two, this item has a solid feel which gives the impression it is well made. The jaws that produce the plasma(?) are unprotected and provide a small area to light items.The device generates a small arc of plasma( I'm guessing here) which easily lights a candle wick or a gas hob. It will set alight any small item like a toothpick, corner of plywood or melt a zip tie without the head getting hot.It has a small loop on the handle so that it can be hung up. It also has a 4 stage power meter. lock button and a press button to activate it.Of the two, I'd probably buy another of the other item as I prefer that design. But I'm sure both work equally well.

This gadget is simplicity itself to use.It it also easy to charge up via the USB port on my computer. One re-charge, I find, takes about 40 minutes on my USB port. and is enough to last me about about 8 - 10 weeks, lighting gas hobs on my oven faultlessly. (Though, be aware I cook on a mix of gas hob, microwave and/or air fryer, not just gas hob exclusively).It's well worth the money paid.(And - think about the money I've actually saved if I were to power such a lighter by battery!)

Wow, this is so good. We use for candles and starting our open fire woodlets and kindling going. It looks great in this colour, charges quickly and works really well. Great to no longer get through so many matches.

What a cracking buy this is. The lighter is a high quality product, feels weighty, works incredibly well. You can't light a bonfire directly with it, but light the edge of a bit of paper and you're away! Perfect for lighting candles. There is no flame to burn you while struggling to dip your lighter flame into a candle deep in a hole! I am quite astonished how good it is for the low cost that seems only half what I'd have expected to pay.Edit added: new uses!I've used this to seal the frayed edge of a strap for a loop on a fishing waistcoat. The ribbon is synthetic, and it had become very frayed, was in danger of completely disintegrating with time. But I have successfully sealed it with the RONXS lighter. This is really effective and seems to be at least in the moderate term quite robust. It also works to turn over the inner tube of tube fly tubing - those who need to know will do so!

Brilliant device... inexpensive and works a treat. Nice to handle and easy to use with convenient USB charging.an excellent buy.

Long battery life. Lights the candles no problem. Happy with these.

Was slightly noisier then expected, but I finally managed to light birthday candles without burning my finger thanks to this.It's lightweight and fairly compact. The battery hasn't gone yet so that's good, but a charger is provided. The safety switch is definitely a good thing, but I do think a child would figure it out very quickly. But as with all lighters, if kept out of reach, it should be fine. Overall great value.
