We hate noisy toys in our house. Someone buys a battery toy and the batteries usually disappear quickly. But this book? We love it. It is loud enough to hear clearly but not loud enough to really bother anyone even if I'm working.Several families who have seen it have loved it so much that they went out and bought a copy too.Can't recommend the poppy series enough. I only wish they were a little more affordable but I can't complain too much because they get so much use.

My toddler loves anything music so he loves this book. For some reason I thought it was a board book but it is not, just regular pages that are fairly sturdy. It’s handled his roughness and crinkling, but my 9month old nieces pulling caused a page to rip. The pages have to be laid down just right, otherwise you’ll miss the button at the back of the book, sometimes he has a hard time pushing them because he moves the page slightly and doesn’t understand exactly where to push since the button isn’t on the actual page like other books we have. But he loves the sounds and tunes that it makes.

I got this one and 'Poppy and the Orchestra' for my 3-year old son loves them dearly. He enjoys pushing all the sound buttons and he can sit by himself with this book for half an hour without looking for me. Just after a few times he now recognizes all instruments and he can name the instruments by just listening to the sound. This really is a fun book. It is very clever and well made, the story is short and cute.I would recommend it to everyone and it also makes a wonderful gift for kids.

Grandchildren ages 3 and 1 have really enjoyed the whole Poppy series. The play button is a little hard for young hands to operate, but the text and sound quality are good.

Grandson loves these books, even has favorite song at 16 months! So much better than silly chirping birds. Educational. Classical music or silly noise...He plays so much batteries run out quick.

This book is incredible! The music selection is spectacular and different for each instrument. The sound quality blew me away! It is head and shoulders above any other children’s book. Same level as the Cali’s books nursery rhymes. Really lovely to listen to over and over again (which you will hear if you have a toddler). Kid’s quickly pick up the difference between the various instruments.

These are the best books! My 18 month old loves them! The sound quality is great and the pictures are colorful and pretty. A wonderful way for him to learn his instruments.

Our son has been thrilled with these books. the musical pieces are just long enough without being too long, and more importantly, they are SO PLEASANT to hear!!! these books are not your average children's book with audio, they are simple and accessible for anyone, but so sophisticated as well with very high quality audio and beautiful musical pieces the entire family enjoys hearing. I cannot recommend these enough.
