I have a cruise coming up in 2 weeks and in the past I've used more value tier phone pouches on previous cruises however the challenge with them is that they don't accommodate larger smartphones very well. I use a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and this Pelican XL case is perfect. It comfortably fits my phone with its popsocket affixed on the back without any stretching or distortion of the case. While it is definitely not one of the cheapest, if you use a large phone this is going to protect it exceptionally well as its waterproof with the bonus of being able to float. The touchscreen works fine through the plastic and the cameras are not obstructed on the rear. I am looking forward to using this on my upcoming trip as well as future excursions.

The media could not be loaded. So, so happy we bought this to snorkel in Hawaii. We have iPhone 15 Pro phones and purchased the ex-large size. The phone was easy to slip in and out. My husband kept his phone, room key and bus pass in the pouch.I didn't feel confident enough to trust my expensive phone to a pouch, so I put my phone inside a zip lock snack size bag and then into the pouch, although it never leaked. (We were very careful to ensure no sand got in to interfere with the lock system.) I still got great videos with the bag around the phone. I set the phone up for video holding it out of the water and then I would just press the sensor button to start the video before bringing it underwater. I kept it set up that way while snorkeling. I did make the mistake of thinking I was videoing when I wasn't, and visa versa, but that was due to my excitement at what I was seeing. You can set the side button to take photos, but that may work better with the smaller size so that it's tight against the edge. I didn't do it that way.The pouch just floated along beside my shoulder area. It never bothered me and was easy to grab. I was surprised at how much I appreciated that it would float. I think it would be annoying to have that weight around my neck just hanging there, and I felt better it wasn't always underwater. Make sure you tighten the strap a bit so it doesn't slip off of your neck in rough water. Check out my video (this is with the zip lock bag around the phone!

Took with us on our honey moon to Mexico! So easy to easy and worked really well. I liked that it wasn’t difficult to still use the touch screen buttons!

Good quality case. The only issue we had was my girlfriends phone overheating in hers. Also if you get any moisture inside it, it will fog up. I use it to carry go pro batteries and other small things I want to keep dry and stuck some hook Velcro to it so I can stick it to the inside of my gear. The lanyard comes disconnected easily and almost lost my girlfriends phone when she was snorkeling.

I highly recommend that BEFORE you put your expensive items into this pouch; Close it up with nothing inside, and submerge it under water. This will 100% guarantee the water proofing. Pelican is know for its durability and perfection. This product was just that. I have a long phone and this pouch held it perfectly. There is a clear spot for you to be able to use your camera and it worked perfect. I was able to not only fit my phone but other items as well. I used it everyday for 5 days straight in rough seas and has absolutely no water come through. I was using it to about 10 feet in depth, It also held the sand out too. I highly recommend this product!!

I've tried several different waterproof phone cases and this one was far superior to any I've used before! I took it on a two week trip to Costa Rica, spent time on the river and the ocean and it kept my phone dry and safe the whole time! Love the floatation feature too!

These pouches are built well. If I’d kept the four-pack I bought, I’m confident they would’ve protected my phone at the beach, whilst keeping it accessible and usable.Unfortunately, the description says the non-XL version fits the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it doesn’t. I mean, okay, technically it does. But I couldn’t actually use the phone in the pouch. I wanted to switch apps and the up-right gesture wouldn’t work because I couldn’t swipe up from the very bottom of the screen. And when I opened the pouch and adjusted the phone a little, the notch was covered and Face ID wouldn’t work. Besides, doing this enabled the gesture to work for just a moment or two before it stopped again.If you have a non-Max version of the phone, you’ll be fine. ★★☆☆☆ for the misleading product description, but the pouch itself is great.
