They have many different graphite widths, all of which are useful for different occasions. I really enjoy these pencils. Would recommend. I'm a fashion entrepreneur and so I use the thin pencils for drawing, the thicker pencils for tracing patterns, and everything in between for various other projects.

I draw a lot. This set has a good range of graphite hardness and the intervals seem accurate. I almost never need to dig for another pencil to augment the set. They apply well. No scratching and little unintended smearing. Clean up well with a good quality eraser. I'd buy again.

I love how these pencils perform. They are so easy to use and I get such good results from them. I can't say the same for other sets I have purchased. These are just great.

These are some pretty decent drawing pencils. Not as smooth as I like. But they produce some good results. I don’t see a difference from the 8b-12b. Overall good pencils. Especially for the value. Especially if your a beginner and on a budget.

I'm a graphite artist. I own sets and sets of drawing pencils. Every pencil artists yearns for a jet black graphite pencil that is true graphite not carbon or charcoal. I ignored these for a long time because a set of decent drawing pencils costs at least $15.These are the pencils I've been seeking. The 12B goes down as black as a Sharpie and is totally graphite. They run like Japanese pencils, about one grade softer with a smooth feel all the way to 6h.I'm seriously considering buying a bunch of packs before the vendor comes to his senses!One serious gripe. The grade is marked on one flat only. If you are constantly switching pencils, this is really annoying. Less serious. Black is cool and elegant but a pile of black pencils in the unlit part of my desk, is hard to distinguish. 5 stars despite that.

I have just recently started painting and drawing and my little starter set of graphite pencils was dwindling fast. I saw this larger set on Amazon and they looked perfect so I ordered them. They arrived early I believe. They are exactly as described. They come already sharpened, ready to go, and not a single point was broken! I will definitely order from this Seller again.

I’m in a watercolor class and I sketch and trace a lot of pictures. All of the pencil are really nice. I love this product! It has really helped with the stress of learning to transfer my picture to my canvas.

I have been experimenting with graphite drawings and this set has very type of gradient I could want. I can get really dark values with the 10B and 12B. They sharpen nicely with a manual sharpener. The wood does not splint and I can get a very sharp point. Sometimes I use an exacto knife to get the graphite just the way I want it. Well worth the purchase especially if you are experimenting with graphite.
