Not a bulldozer!
So thin it slides right under everything you cook. Flipped over it's an excellent pan scraper. The bad news is it's so thin that it's tempting to use the tip for light cutting and chopping in the skillet. Those spot welds held up for 11 months with this abuse, but one side has now broken loose. Used correctly, this turner will undoubtedly last many years. The good news is I've just discovered there are two sizes, so both are coming tomorrow!3 reasons not to cut and chop with the thin/sharp tip.You weaken the spot welds.Even in ceramic-type nonstick skillets, you can scratch or mar the surface when it slips. There is tension on the blade, so you will flip food across the room more than once. The spot weld issue notwithstanding, this turner is one of the best tools I've ever owned. I like it so much I'd take time out of my day to make a review on Amazon about it. Highly recommended for people who cook food in a skillet. (bulldozer enthusiasts, pass this one by)

Excellent in my iron skillet but is better suited for ...
Very good in my iron skillet but is better suited for an open griddle. The spatula is a little large to easily use in a 10" skillet. Very thin and very flexible but has a slight curve that prevents it from bending the wrong way a dumping your food back in the skillet or elsewhere. Comes as a set with a smaller version.Update 4-1-2016. I've used the smaller spatula for a full year now in a 10 inch iron skillet and I have raised my rating to 5. It is very thin strong, and flexible. As mentioned before there is a slight side-to-side curve in the blade that stiffens it and keeps food on the blade instead of dumping it. The blade is so thin it easily slides under egg from the side or end of the blade without breaking the yolk. I reserve the larger spatula for a 12 inch skillet or griddle.I'm ordering another small size today so I have one available when the other is in the dishwasher.

hilarious junk
I love OXO, like, fan level here. We moved, I needed a thing to flip eggs, fast, I ordered this. It is HILARIOUSLY bad. It's literally a piece of metal cut out of a sheet. The edges are sharp enough to cut you by accident but not sharp or sturdy enough to be useful. Tiny pathetic rivets. It bends in the middle under the weight of the food, so the food just falls off. Sounds like when you'd grab a piece of tin roof and flex it, only on a palm-sized scale. I can only conclude I received a poor quality knockoff, despite the OXO on the ridiculously large and sturdy handle that will outlast the rest of it by decades. Pros, I guess it does scrape eggs, if you're really gentle with it. It's less annoying than trying to use a fork. Please look at other options before you buy this.

Flexible but not so durable
We love this flexible spatula. It unfortunately only lasts a year or two in my house. We can’t find anything else this flexible. Works great for cookies but not durable enough for when the other cook in the house uses it to scrape browned bits off of the bottom of the pan.

best spatula for eggs
I had a spatula exactly like this for several years but the handle eventually broke off. (due to misuse by hubs) My local store no longer carried it. Was happy to see it on Amazon. This is perfect for eggs. It is very thin metal and slips right under the eggs for an easy flip or for manipulating an omelet fold. No other spatula will do.I gave it 5 stars overall because it is the beast breakfast spatula in the world. However, don't use it on your grill to flip big burgers- it isn't sturdy enough for that and will not withstand that type of use. (thus the 4 stars in those areas) I suggest getting some other beast of a spatula for those other jobs. And now that I have schooled my husband on using the proper tool for the job, I don't think we will have issues with this one breaking again.

Good while it lasted, but not durable
I bought this spatula in Aptil 2024. It lasted 15 months before it came apart. It's very flexible so I only used it for eggs, nothing heavy. I'm not sure I can recommend this spatula because it's not durable.

Best turner. UPDATE
This is the best turner. Amazon tells me I bought it in 2012 and I finally decided this morning I wanted another one, so here I am. We use the one we have almost everyday which means it's always in the dishwasher and having another one would reduce how annoying that is. I can't believe we've had it over five years because it's still in perfect condition, even while going through the dishwasher almost everyday. It flips pancakes, eggs, burgers, you name it, with ease.UPDATE: My old turner is the medium size. I went ahead and bought a large one this time because the price difference was minimal and maybe it would make turning things like large pancakes even easier. I wish I'd gotten a second medium. I don't think there is any difference in being able to turn larger items, and you lose just a little control. Five stars still for the medium turner, the large is more like 3.5 stars. I hate to ding any stars because the medium turner is still the best and very deserving of 5 stars.
