I have a GPU with only DisplayPort's and this works well. The nvidia control panel also recognizes the output as HDMI (this is the only adapter that does so). I'm not sure if it's because an external power source is needed but on that note, please make sure to plug it in! HDR did not work without the power plugged in.I've used other active adapters and although they work, sometimes I have to turn off my OLED TV to make it work again. They also don't get recognized as HDMI output but rather DisplayPort.

The good news is the adapter seems to support 8K video flawlessly The bad news is, it only supports 48khz audio sampling rate, so not good for hi-res music or uncompressed movie soundtracks.The Warrky DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter supports 192khz audio and 4K HDR video, but not 8k.I'm hoping the UPTab DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 Active Adapter will fully support HDMI 2.1 including 8k HDR+ video and 192khz audio.

The product feels of adequate quality, but the signal is not stable to the monitor. Using the same cable with a different adapter works. With this one however, the monitor turns on and off every few seconds. Returning the product.
