Hoover Pres-N-Snap Tool - Complete Kit

I don't normally do reviews, but this squeezer really works! I have a canvas skirt that goes around the front of our 5th wheel RV which needed some snap buttons replaced. after trying to use a two-piece die and anvil with no success due to the fabric being pretty thick with multiple layers and the shank of the button not really long enough to go all the way through the two layers, I gave up and ordered this Pres N Snap tool. using the same snap buttons, it easily pressed the two parts together and securely crimped them through the same layers that thwarted my earlier attempts. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it really does the job and I have thrown away the die and anvil set that I used to use. The physical construction beats all of the modified vise grip types that I have looked at.

This tool worked great for installing snaps on our new pontoon cover. We purchased another tool that was very hard to use, and we finally gave up and ordered the Hoover Pres-N-Snap tool. This tool easily installed the snaps. It is super heavy duty and we highly recommend! It is expensive, but works like a charm. Night and day difference over less expensive snap tools. You definitely get what you pay for!

This product is a perfect demonstration of "you get what you pay for". While it may be rather expensive compared to other snap tools it is by far the best handheld snap tool you can purchase. It is well made, has the necessary dies to do male and female snaps and it just flat out works.If you have a boat cover that needs new snaps this tool will have the job done in little to no time, and zero frustration. I've done full bow & cockpit covers replacing over 100 snaps with no problem. Replacing snaps on clothing is just as easy as well.With no question this tool will be the first and only time I will have to purchase it. It probably can get passed down a few generations.

If you need a snap tool this is the one to buy. Well built,& the tool for the job. Yes it is pretty pricey , you will see why when you use it. I've tried cheaper brands & left them in the bottom of the lake. Will it ever pay for its self ... NO... but if you like something to be right the first time you have no choice. It is a professional grade tool . I just need to fix snaps on my boat top & don't want to bother with hauling boat around to get a snap fixed. worth it to me.

This tool for attaching snaps to canvas is vastly superior to the cheaper vice grip like tools IMHO. It was much easier to use and attached the snaps securely without wasting several snaps to finally get one seated properly.

Does exactly that you want it to do right out of the box. Makes it so easy, you have to recheck your work because you figure nothing could be so easy.

I didn't end up using the one I bought (used velcro instead), but I have used a friends in the past and these are amazing. Don't waste time or money on the cheap amazon chinese stuff. This is the real deal and takes about 5 seconds to put on a snap. If I do any more projects with marine snaps, I'm buying another one. Also, marine snaps are stainless so most of the cheap ones wont even work and don't apply pressure uniformly. Get the right tool and keep it forever.
