Great for unlit closets
We live in an old 1930's house that has limited electrical throughout. One place in particular that needs light are our closets. These work great and turn on when we open the door then turn off when we close it. As a FYI/PSA, these do not work with the 1.3v rechargeable AA's. Will be probably getting a few more to light some of the other closets in our house.Cheers

pleasing color bulb convenient with sensor
This is perfect for our closet where the overhead light has stopped working consistently. It is bright enough to get things from the closet, but yet a light is not a harsh bright light. It is a very nice pleasant color. it has been working consistently for the last month turns on and off as advertised.

The perfect solution
Our wall to wall closets have never had lighting. We recently redesigned our closets and needed lighting. Put 4 of the warm lights in and I couldn't be happier. They all come on when we open the door and is so bright. I have not had them long enough to talk about the longevity of the batteries but fingers crossed they don't need changed often. I will be ordering many many more for the rest of our closets.

Well, that is disappointing!
I purchased two 2-packs two-and-a-half months ago and installed the lights the day I received them. They were for four closets, and I found them easy to install. The motion sensitivity is a bit high, so I arranged the items on the top shelves to interfere with the motion detector a little. Otherwise, the light was going off EVERY TIME a person or dog walked by--even with the closet doors closed. All was fine with the lights until this week; the lights already need battery replacements after only 2-1/2 months. That's a pretty short time, considering these take four batteries. I am disappointed that it is too late to return these.

Batteries don’t last. Not bright enough.
It takes 4 AA batteries and they ran out in less than a year. I guess the motion sensor is on all the time (?)Will get a conventional light rather than dumping more batteries in a land fill.

Faulty Motion Detector
This unit would be perfect for my downstairs ceiling where there is a light at the bottom but not at the top of the stairs. The light is bright enough and the unit is low profile, so everything is perfect.... except the AUTO function does not want to work. Opening the basement door should be PLENTY of motion to set it off, but it doesn't. I can wave my hand underneath it and... nothing. Then I CLOSE the door, and it suddenly turns on??? This shouldn't be so difficult. All I'm asking for is the motion detector to detect MOTION. If I can't figure out a fix, back it goes. Sad, because I really like it... if it worked. Up one star to threeUPDATESo I've had this unit up for a few days and think I understand it better. It seems to detect motion, but only in darkness, or at least semi-darkness. So during the day, when I open the basement door and it is fairly LIGHT, it doesn't come on. If it is later in the day and I open the door in darkness or semi-darkness, it turns on. Weird. I wish it was just motion activated period, but since it seems to turn on when I need it most to turn on (when its dark), it is OK. Better than I originally thought, but not as effective as it could be with just plain better motion activation. I'll keep it as it does mostly what I want it to do.
