I bought Healthy Human water bottles because I wanted a simple design that was easy to clean, and was not in favor of straws. This was the only brand I found with no plastic components touching the water, but I needed something easier than a screw-top lid for my child to use. The flip-top lid was a great solution, allowing for one-handed water drinking. Leak-proof so long as you remember to flip the bar up that locks the lid. Never had a leak in years of using so long as we used the lock bar. Still looks almost new after several years, and lid is dishwasher safe so easy to clean. Forget the other brands, this is the best design by far.

I've had this lid for about 10 months and it's been absolutely fantastic, it doesn't leak, it is easy to operate with one hand, and it fits both of the Healthy Human bottles I own. I'm a fitness instructor and carry my bottle everywhere. It's been dropped in my bag and I don't have to worry about anything else getting wet. The downside for me was that just about 5 minutes ago the bottle fell out of my bag as I took it out of the car and the clear plastic cap completely shattered as it hit the floor. Bye bye lid. I guess it's my fault for being a bit clumsy in the rain, but I had hoped that the clear part of the lid would be a little more resilient to drops. Back to the screw lid for a while. At $12.99 replacing the flip lid after 10 months is a bit on the pricey side which is the reason I give it 4 stars :([update May 19 2018]I am upgrading this review to 5 stars from 4. I hadn't anticipated any response from my review but today I received an email from Healthy Human offering to send me a brand new replacement lid free of charge. Wow, this company absolutely stands by their warranty. I hadn't even considered contacting them and asking for a new lid, as after all, they are not responsible for gravity :P

Please see updates below.I have two Healthy Human bottles and one tumbler. I love their bottles and tumbler so I was excited to see they offer a flip top for the bottle. It certainly feels well-made and the design is well thought-out in that it has a nice locking mechanism and the push button feels good on the thumb and is easy to press. The problem? It freakin’ leaks! A lid that leaks is no good. One star. Too bad.Update 2/27/19: I reached out to Healthy Human regarding the leakage issue and was promptly responded to with an offer to send a gasket, which should resolve the issue. Rating updated from 1 star to 3 due to excellent customer service. Once the gasket is received and the issue hopefully resolved, I will update again.Update 3/3/19: I received the gasket as promised, popped it in the lid and presto! No more leakage! I can now say this is a 5-star purchase. Thanks Healthy Human customer service!

I love this lid! I am a little disappointed that there is not an option for this lid to come with the water bottle. It's a little annoying that it has to be purchased separately and it only fits healthy human bottles. I think it is rather expensive For what it is, but that said it is the best water bottle lid I have ever had. I don't like straw lids, I only like spout lids. I have used the Contigo auto seal water bottles in the past, and those are great except I do feel like even with their spout cover, there is still the potential for germs to be where your mouth goes. This healthy human spout lid has a much better spout cap, and you don't have to hold down the button to drink. When you were busy and may only have one hand, it is very nice to just be able to pop the button, which literally pops the lid open so you can drink, and then snap it back down with one hand. I also like the little flip up wire you can use to lock the bottle so it cannot accidentally be opened if it is in a bag or other situation. It also has a very nice handle. It is easy to carry with your hand very comfortably. I would highly recommend this lid if you own a healthy human bottle for which it is compatible.Update:This started leaking and I was very disappointed since I had only had it for about two weeks. I attempted to contact the manufacturer and it has now been a week and I have not heard anything. This is very disappointing because it was my understanding they provided a high-level of customer service. It turns out that the gasket had fallen out of the lid and was actually in my bottle. I was able to fit the gasket back in, but it was a bit challenging to do so. I am now very fearful that it will pop off again, and I have not had this problem with other water bottles so this is definitely a disappointment considering the otherwise high level of quality I have experienced so far. I am more disappointed that I did not receive any correspondence from the company. Just things to know.

After bumping my nose, spilling drink on myself and getting tired of taking the original lid on and off every drink, I saw this flip and sip lid and ordered. It works great. I did read reviews where mold developed on the little rubber nipple that covers the hole so will watch and hope that doesn't happen to mine. I take it home every night and wash it all with warm soapy water.UPDATE (almost) 6 months later: I use my bottle with the flip and sip lid every day during the week and often on the weekends at home. Even if I leave the plastic cover flipped open all day, my water still stays ice called. I have not had any problems with mold on any part of the lid. I only use water with a little splash of lemon juice in the bottle. I wash it with warm soapy water several times a week. The lid is secure and there's enough room for four of my fingers in the carry handle. Definitely worth the purchase!!!
