Good Choice for the Money
I'm a fairly new wine maker and bought these to use for a new batch of wine I was making. The first set of corks I bought were number eights. Because I have been cleaning and re-using old bottles, I found that when I used number eights I would not always get a nice tight fit. It appeared that there was a slight variation in the size of the neck of the bottles. When I needed more I switched to these number nines which are slightly larger. They are a little harder to get into your bottle. I would recommend to at least have a two lever manual corker if you want to use these corks - not a plunger type. For me, these were a great improvement. I got a much tighter fit even though I used all different types and shapes of bottles. They made it a little harder to cork using a two lever manual corker but nothing that noticeable. The corks are a decent quality for the money and you get enough to last for about 5 cases worth of wine. After having these corks in wine that sat for a while, I found that they also held up over time. When de-corking, they were easy to get out and did not crumble like some other cheaper brands of corks I had bought in the past. I will definitely be buying this size and brand of corks again.

Good value for the money
These #9 corks are intended to be used for wine and wine-like beverages (mead, hard cider, etc. that is "still" (no carbonation) or no more than "petillant" (low carbonation pressure). These corks must be soaked in sanitizer (sodium metabisulfite or "Star-San" (phosphate-based acid sanitizer) first- both to sanitize then and to soften them to pass through a bottle corker. I'd suggest putting them in a container (with weights, so all submerged) for 24 hours before using corker to bottle finished home-fermented product (see above). They mostly are used in 750 mL glass wine bottles.

Wine bottle corks.
They work. I don't know whether they are good after two to three years, though, where it counts. I will let everyone know at that date.

The very best choice you can make
These corks are the best I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried many. I have bottles that have been corked since 2011 and none of them have leaked or gone bad. Don’t waste your time or risk the loss of your wines with anything else.

Just what I needed
I have been making my wine at home for about 15 years now. I like to bottle it and give it away as presents for Christmas, because it's personal and very inexpensive. These quarks were perfect, and not a single one broke. just like the other reviews, they were one or two short, but to me, that's not a big deal. I actually have extras left over for next year. Very happy with the performance of these quarks, and will certainly buy them next year.

Bad Quality Corks, Questionable Composition
Horrible corks. I used a floor corker, and not only did little pieces of cork break off when they were inserted, but a milky liquid was pushed out of the corks. I had to pull them all out and use a different cork. I was scared to leave the corks in contact with the wine, as floating them on some sanitation solution for 10 minutes caused this milky reaction.
