works well...nice and bright
This works well as expected to add a bunch of light on a subject for video or photos...and many other uses. It is tricky that you have to push and hold the power button to turn it on and off, but once you figure that out, it is very useful. Occasionally it turn on itself when in a bag so I keep it in a box when I carry it.

Must-Have for Your Camera Kit
This light is a must-have for your camera bag.Mount it in your camera's hot shoe or on a tripod or just set it where you need it.Comes with diffusion filter and warming diffusion filter to match natural lighting sources.I use with a Sony camera battery to be wireless or you can add your own external power supply. With a little knowledge of basic lighting technique this adjustable lamp can save you fixing exposure in post.

OK for $20 +/-
I purchased two of these compact LEDs and only one of them works. One works great the other doesn't seem to have a good connection to the battery...It turns on monetarily and then blinks a LO battery warning then shuts off. Unfortunately I realized the issue too late to return it. Lesson learned.

Cheap and perfect for most environments including small spaces
Cheap and perfect for most environments including small spaces. They take up little space and can be powered with a cord or battery. It's not going to look quite as perfect as really expensive lights but they take up way less space than a giant softbox and for most people this is way more than enough. I have several and they do the job wherever I need them.

Nice little light for the price
This is a nice little light -- but don't let the size fool you. It can get bright! I love that it has an AC jack so I can plug it in to the wall (after I bought an adapter) and not have to worry about batteries for indoor shoots. I've had this for a few months and it's really helped me light foreground subjects, particularly against bright backgrounds. For the price, it's a good value.

Craphy but not Crappy - a Good LED video/utility light
Good light at a good price.I use these LED panels for many purposes, from video and still photography to utility/work lights. So I have several of this style from different manufacturers (whomever is in-stock and least expensive when needed). I wanted something slimmer and brighter than the typical CN160-style so I can squeeze two in my traveling camera case, and these fit the bill. They put out a good amount of light and run for a couple of hours off a small 2900mAh NP-F550 battery. There's also a jack to run them off an external DC power source, allowing me to plug them into my Jeep's cigarette lighter for virtually unlimited run time. They aren't high CRI though, so it does take a bit of work in post to correct the slight greenish cast; I haven't used them enough yet to come up with a good preset. Possibly adding some gels would help.Comes with a diffusion panel (kind of pointless except for protection) and a CTO gel (which I haven't used). The supplied ballhead is okay, and the light panel itself as well as the ballhead have a 1/4" x 20 threaded insert so you can use a better ballhead or mount the light on a light stand or tripod.Recommended.
