Troy-Bilt can help you comfortably accomplish your lawn mowing jobs this season. The TB230 self-propelled lawn mower is powered by an easy-starting 163cc OHV 725ex Briggs & Stratton engine with ReadyStart technology for added ease. This front wheel drive self-propelled lawn mower is equipped with a 21-inch TriAction complete cutting system: a rake bumper to lift grass upright, a specially designed blade for a finer mulch, and a symmetrical deck for superior grass flow, eliminating clumping or patches in your lawn. The TB230 is equipped with deck wash and the ReadyStart system is a mechanism that automatically senses engine temperature and adjusts the air/fuel mixture to suit conditions perfectly. No hassles, no guesswork, no worries: To start, just pull the cord once for power - the ReadyStart starting system will do the rest. The 1.09-quart fuel tank and 1.9 standard bushel capacity grass bag mean it's unlikely you'll have to waste time filling up or emptying the TB230 mid-mow. The TB230 features large, 11-inch rear wheels for added maneuverability in uneven terrain, and single lever speed control for variable speeds. This self-propelled mower also includes dual-lever deck height adjustment that allows for six different grass height settings, from 1.25-inches to 3.75-inches, meeting all your length requirements. Troy-Bilt's TB230 is backed by a 2-year limited warranty.

Wrong Item
It’s light weight, easy to assemble but this is not the model I ordered. I ordered the TB230 and I got the TB130. Didn’t realize it until I needed service on it.

Not for tall fescue grass
Doesn’t cut evenly without a 50% overlap. Compared to my Honda mower it Doesn’t cut as sharp and even. Overall not bad if your not picky about your landscaping and cut your grass very low

Thank you, but no thank you!
No wonder they no longer sale these mowers! Troy-Bilt is supposed to be a great brand. This mower misses pieces of grass, have to mow same spot twice, and gas evaporates from tank really fast when sitting. I waited to give review after I used it twice and will not buy again. Cheaper mowers have given better performance.

Find another mower....not very reliable or durable
Have had this mower for just over 3 years and just out of warranty. Have had nothing but problems with it. It is used frequently, but the first year it ran great no problems. The second year it had problems starting and I found it needed a tune up, airfilter, spark plug, which I guess is normal after one year...Hard to start during the second year and then had to replace the staring lever/cable and the grass catch bag has a hole in already. Now hoping to get another 3rd year of use out of it, I can not get it started have replaced the plug, filter, fresh gas with Seafoam additive and still nothing. They just don't make them like they used to 3 years of use and it needs replaced? Try another brand....

Garbage !
First year the mower started and worked great. Half way during the second summer it became hard to start. Took it for tune up and mechanic said there was a major compression problem. Bottom line once it did starts I couldn’t shut it off because it wouldn’t start back back unless it sat for 30-40 minutes. Now it’s into the third summer and it’s even harder to start the first time. Ridiculous !!! I have to say other then the starting problems, everything else is fine. However, what good is it if it don’t start ???!!!!! Finally bought a Toro with Honda engine.

Buy the Troy Bilt TB240 instead!
I had a hammy down Toro from my parents, that mower was a hawk, until the Carburetor Caused the lawn mower to not start, I decided to do my homework, found out that Troy Bolt were built solid, mid range priced, with one of the lowest repair rates. Made in Valley City, Ohio, I got the Troy Bilt tb240, because of the Honda engine and front self-propelled, I recommend self-propelled if you have trouble walking, I broke my leg in Dec of 2015 and this helps alot, this mower cuts like butter, so smooth, starts up with one pull, the only thing is, the bag does not collect grass well, leaving clippings everywhere, but my lawn wasn't mowed in 3 weeks, the tb230 is nice, but I recommend the Troy Bilt tb240 at Lowes, org $319, on sale for $296 because it powerful, has a better engine, a Honda, not a Briggs and Stratton, so you will know the tb240 will last you for a long time, and the tb240 is not much more money than the tb230, no matter what Troy Bilt you choose, it'll be a powerful, solid lawn mower, with fewest repairs, so you can enjoy your Troy Bilt for a long time, year after years!!! ✂💵💰👍💘😎😃
