Q: How much water psi drop should i expect after installing this?

I honestly don’t know but is enough for a house and the faucets have good pressure

Amazon, I buy all by replacements from them, or go direct to apex web site. good luck they are great filters

Q: Will this take filters of 1 micron or less?

Most standard filter canisters will accept filter cartridges that are 2.5" x 10". There are multiple standard filters available with varying micro size removal rates. Once you decide on a filter manufacturer, then scan their available filter charts with micron ratings and desired flow rate for your system. There are a multitude of available filters.
