Bought this to protect the wood floor I. Our kitchen by the sink. Once it 'settled'( plastic was v rigid and tightly coiled on delivery), it now lays flat and isn't a trip hazard. It does a perfect job, floor still looks great but is protected.

Nice and thick and good quality. Does take a couple of days under heavy furniture to get completely flat. Will protect the wooden flooring. Does move about a bit though so may need something to hold on place.

I wanted something to protect my laminated flooring from the constant wheel movement of my swivel chair and this seemed the best solution. The mat is 2mm thick flexible plastic and arrives rolled up. It did not want to lay flat initially but over the weeks it relaxed; perhaps taking note of the instructions may have helped speed up the process. The plastic has a certain 'squidginess' to it, which provides just the right degree of 'feel' to the chair movement and the upper surface is textured, maybe to encourage the wheels to turn. The lower surface is smooth with a slight tackiness, though not sticky, which helps minimize movement. The mat does move on the floor over time, or more accurately 'rotates' but it is not excessive and I have only repositioned it square to my desk once in three months, and I'm only talking of an inch or two. As with all things plastic, I wonder how long it will last. Plastic does loses flexibility over time and eventually cracks and fails. However at present all is fine. Personally 48 x 36inches would have suited my situation better than 48 x 30inches but it is just about okay; I don't remember there being a lot of choice in sizes.

Protects the floor, but it slips extremely

Bought to put under my office chair on a wooden floor. Took a day to two to unroll it properly but once flat it does the job. It does tend to move about a bit but is easy to put right. Good quality and saves my floor from damage.

Just what we wanted and it works. Would recommend.

Was sceptical but the Matt is fantastic.Could be a little bit wider, maybe 1cm more on either side but definitely serves its purpose.
