The best cookbook I've seen! Great recipes/photos and information. The PERFECT gift too!
First of all this book is beautiful! The perfect gift for a baby shower or special occasion. I absolutely love all the practical information in this book including the Nutrient Guide, serving size guides for baby, portion size guides for toddlers, tips for cooking gluten-free and nutrient rich, picky eaters, feeding-on the go, etc. Also, there are "How Tos" about freezing baby food, storing food and so much more. I especially love the allergen guides for each recipe, which makes things so much easier if you are looking for recipes such as Vegetarian, Egg Free, Gluten-Free, Nut Free, Dairy-Free. The recipes are great for ages 4 months to 3 yrs, and there are soooooo many incredible pictures and inspiring recipes. There is also a little information for each recipe which tells you the significant nutritional value of the ingredients being used in the recipe. All the recipes are easy to make and there is a huge variety to choose from purees, burgers, meatballs, stews, smoothies, kebabs, granola bites, muffins, dips, pies, etc. The index is super easy to use as well so you can find recipes with the ingredients you may have on hand. I just can't stop telling my friends how much I love this book! This is my new go-to gift for all my moms-to-be. Also, it is a great gift for 1st birthdays too! LOVE!

Toddler & Mama Approved Recipes
I am absolutely impressed! I'm a busy working mom who wants to feed her tot the best that I can, as often as I can. The Happy Family Cookbook makes it all possible for me. The recipes are simple yet nutritious and my 2 yr old's taste buds definitely approves.I like the a lot of the recipes are easy finger foods so that my independent tot can feed himself and explore different textures and flavors.I love that the toddler meals and snack sections have combined the pictures of the food with drawings to make the meal come alive. We sit and sift through the book together and he can help pick out the meal he would like to eat. He's able to remember the recipe by the picture that it's made of.We absolutely LOVE the Salmon Rice Balls recipe! This is a meal that I can take on the go and so easy to put together. This book is not only valuable to growing babies and toddlers, I have used many of these recipes for myself. Let's face it, eating out for lunch is easy but this Organic Cookbook helps me to bring more home cooked meals with me.

SO HELPFUL, I live by this now
I felt like I was making the same meal over and over again for my twin babies and I also had no idea how to blend delicious yet fully n utritious meals for the babies. This book is like my spiritual guide to baby cooking -- they love almost every recipe, and I love that there are some flavors that one wouldn't think to introduce to babies, and I also love the little explanations on each page as to why the certain combinations are healthy for baby. It's broken down into sections by age, under 6 months, 6 months and over, and toddler food, and I just couldn't be happier with this cookbook. AMAZING.

Easy to follow recipes that kids love!!
This is absolutely the best baby/toddler cookbook that I have used!! The recipes are not only unique and flavorful, but also super easy to follow. I love the book's illustrations as well. My son has loved almost everything I have made from following the recipes in this book - from basic purées, to chunkier purée mixes for expanding a picky baby's palette, to fun toddler snacks and finger foods. The servings from each recipe are plenty for making batches ahead of time and then freezing for up to a few months. Most of the recipes also do a great job of sneaking in things like greens and veggies without turning my son against them - that is a miracle in and of itself! Highly recommend this book!

Make the salmon rice balls!
This cookbook has some basic puree recipes, but also some fun older baby meal ideas. My favorite part is the toddler and big kid meals/snacks. The photos included are simply adorable and it makes my kids want to try to make the recipe with me. Having an actual cook book is such a rare thing these days, so it's nice to show my big kids recipes in a book. I also really appreciate that this comes from a baby food brand...I figure they've done their research on what's best for babies, especially since Happy Family focuses on organic unique tastes. The fact that they support homemade baby food even though they make pre packaged baby food means a lot to me. Definitely love this cute cute cook book!

A little too much...
This book is very organized and easy to see. Most recipes have a photo so I am able to expect what the final product looks like. It also has basic information such as allergy, feeding potion, feeding samples and things like that. However, the recipes are not as simple as the ones other books introduce. Pretty much all the recipes in this book have basic ingredients plus some fancy stuff, which other readers may find intriguing. When the title says "avocado, kiwi & kale yogurt", I would like the dish to be made with just avocado, kiwi, kale & yogurt (it probably wouldn't taste good though), but the author adds applesauce and mint leaves to it. This is a lot of ingredients for stage 2 baby food, which means preparation takes longer too. I'm sure it is very tasty but I would have to buy them just to make this specific baby food and probably waste some of it because I don't use them for the meals for my husband and myself. They don't cost much but I would try to be more cost effective and more ordinary for diverse audience if I were the author. Also there are many ingredients that are out of my territory. I like cooking and cook almost every day, but cardamon, flaxseed, cumin etc - they are not on my everyday grocery list.In terms of taste, nutrients and variety of flavors, this book is awesome. But then again, most recipes require lots of ingredients and preparation. If you are into gourmet food, this book could be a great choice. For me as a first time mom, just learning about baby food is so overwhelming that this book seems to be a bit too much.

This is an awesome cookbook!
I bought this cookbook for my grandson (he is only 2 months old, but you have to be ready). There are recipes in this book that we like too as adults. Go figure!

Ok. For ideas.
Some good ideas. But many seem too complicated for a toddler. I stocked up on ingeedients ans felt like a book for toddlers shoumd make it easy to use a small range of ingredients considering how small their tummies are.
