Q: I don't have room to use a copper pipe cutter so I will use a hacksaw. If teh cut is not exactly square will the sharkbite still seal?

If the cut is not too angled the sharkbite should seal fine. There is a limit to how much angle you produce in the cut and still have the connector seal. If you have room to attach the connector fittings, do you really not have room for the small copper cutter? Good luck.

Q: Can this flexible fitting with ball valve be used as a dielectric union?

Hello - The Flexible Connector with Ball Valve would act the same as a dielectric union at the threaded end of the connector because of the gasket. It would break up the metal to metal contact of the dissimilar metals to prevent electrolysis. The Push-to-Connect SharkBite end would not act as a dielectric union and should only be used with PEX, rigid copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE piping. Q: Will this work to install Soft Water packages? Is there any problems?

The convenience of this product would be great...but I would not use it. I cant speak to how they would work with a soft water syster, however, they were installed on my water heater and the rubber inside deteriorated, and sent black flakes of rubber into all the faucets in the house...only noticed in the tub because there was no screen catching the debris like the sink faucets. I had to remove them and replace with traditional copper, and everuthing had been smooth sailing since then.
