Super Hits of the 70's Vol. 25
I can say that I really enjoy these Super Hits Volume Series. I have a good amount of them and enjoy all of them. They have some of the best music from the 70's and quite a few very hard to find songs. I listen to these over and over again and they bring back so many memories of my childhood growing up in the 70's. All I can say is that if you grew up in the 70's or lived through the 70's an enjoyed the music, this is a MUST HAVE for your music collection. I quickly added these volumes to my MP3 collection of music and they are a mainstay in my music collection. You can't go wrong with any of these Volume's.

And now it's over
We round out the Super Hits series with this volume, with some of the songs that did get quite a bit of airplay at least here, around 1979. An edited version of Sweet's last big hit leads this off, and then you get one of Ambrosia's biggest hits, and a great little song called Shake It from Ian Matthews that got a lot of airtime back then. Gino Vanelli's biggest hit was a staple on radio for awhile, as was the Orleans cut heard on this volume. The others that fill this disc out, not so much. A nice disc to have for most of the songs, and a good last volume for this series.

Have A Nice Day: Volume 25!
Volume 25 is one of the better Volumes of this series.Several good songs give a strong presence here. Personal favorites are, Lead Me On, Shake It, My Angel Baby, and , Love Takes Time. There is also one song on this Volume that I want to brag about and with good reason. I have always been a sucker for Ballads and there have been plenty of good ones over the years but two Ballads hit the airwaves in the latter 70s that I consider two of the best ever and one of them is right here being LeBlanc and Carr's, Falling. The other can be found on 1979 Billboard Top Hits called, Just When I Needed You Most, by the late great Randy Vanwarmer....Very Nice! It has been roughly 30 years since these 12 songs on this Volume hit the airwaves but most of them still sound fresh and not dated. One other thing!.....Rhino also Issued 20 Volumes {not 25} of "Soul Hits Of The 70s: didn't It Blow Your Mind" on CD & Audio Cassette about the same time and: as much as I like several of the Volumes on "Have A Nice Day": I think: from start to finish: the "Soul Hits Of The 70s" Volumes are better. I have several volumes of those 20 also. I also have this Volume on Audio Cassette and: as with all 25 Volumes of this Series: These CD's have 12 Songs but these Audio Cassette's only have 10......I know there is not much of a demand for Audio Cassette's anymore but: the 2 Songs on this Volume that are missing on the Cassette are "5705" & "Oh Well".....As far as I'm concerned: that's not much of a loss though.

Oldies but Goodies
I ordered this CD for one song specifically, "Falling" by Lenny LeBlanc and Pete Carr. All the other songs were a bonus. The memories from my teen years came flooding back as I listened. Those of us who grew up in the 70's had the very best music as the soundtrack for our lives. "Falling" is truly one of the most beautiful songs ever....I cried and cried as I listened, reflecting on times past and loved ones I've lost.

not the best in the series
this series is worth shopping around for, if you must have it. I am glad I shopped around in my purchase of vol. 1- 20. after that the series was OK, but I was not that impressed. those that must have Vol. 25, Half.com has a seller offering it for 26.75 about. sometimes you may find it even cheaper on Rhino's Direct site. that is when they offer it. as I have said, sometimes a CD can be had for a lot less by going direct to either the CDs website or sometimes the artists website direct. the bottom line-it does pay to shop around. I think the quality of the product is good, but on Vol. 25, I just, already have most if not all of the tracks on other CDs. Vol. 24 and 25 are very over priced. Scalpers at work maybe? shop around, but you will, likely still find these Vol.s overpriced.

Good Era!
It's a good cross section of music of the 1970's. the music from that period was HAPPY music, a good time to be around! Graham
