This was certainly was a Birthday gift for my grandson who’s a big fan of Godzilla movies all monsters type movies like this one . So far what he’s told me absolutely loved it watched it the first day we received it in the mail . We look forward to finding more great movies like this one since my grandsons is a collector. Thank you

I have been greatly anticipating each new release of the various Ultra series from Mill Creek. I especially love getting the Bluray sets because in the past I've had spotty internet service, so watching these series through Toku or other streaming services has, at times, been a challenge. Also, you are also at the mercy of the various streaming services and whether or not they continue to carry series/movies that you are interested in. For example, I was subscribed to Toku through Amazon Prime up until January when they suddenly announced that many of the Tsuburaya series were no longer going to be available.Luckily, I have gotten a stronger, more reliable internet service. Also, having digital access to the Mill Creek releases through the Movie Spree site has been a delight when I 've been away from home and want to catch-up on my Ultraman viewing on my phone or iPad.So Imagine my disappointment when I opened this set and found no digital code (Spoiler Alert: I also purchased the Ultraman Zero set that was released the same day, and there's no digital code in that one either!).Other than that, though, these sets are of the same high quality as the other Ultra series that Mill Creek has released. I highly recommend these sets to ALL Ultraman fans!

Were you part of the consumer base who deemed Power Rangers was the best Japanese style content for American audiences? Well if so, shame on you. Ultraman was clearly more compelling with mankind forging relations with a giant alien super god race who defend us against monsters and demons. This offering from Mill Creek (one of many) is hugely appreciated by the small but passionate American fanbase. This one is great as a gateway for all things Ultraman. There are moments in these modern renditions of Ultraman that offer so much imagination and visual splendor, your brain is hit with a kind of pop culture drug that I can't compare to much else. Godzilla for sure, but with Ultraman, Wizard of Oz comes to mind. The Yellow Submarine? Howard The Duck? Star Wars meets Godzilla meets Green Lantern meets Lord of the Rings? It's where awesome and weird meet and have babies. In short, it's bonkers and endless fun. Highly, highly recommended for all ages.

While the overall quality of the package is fine, this set, along with the Ultraman Zero set, does not include a guide booklet or a MovieSpree code. I did message a Mill Creek representative who did confirm for me that neither set was ever intended to include either item. Now, the MovieSpree code being missing isn't the biggest deal in the world. Having digital copies is nice for convenience, but not essential for me. The booklets, however, have been one of my favorite parts of the Mill Creek Ultraman releases so far. The fact that this set did not include one is a massive disappointment to me. I truly do hope Mill Creek offers a booklet to those who purchased this set, as I would absolutely love to have one.

I'm really happy and excited that ultraman is coming stateside nearly completely. Unfortunately they have stopped giving digital codes. While that's a minor inconvenience I am confused on how or why the official subs end up worse than free fansubs. In this set specifically I've consistently noticed words missing or replaced with similar looking words (think with and will) happening at least once an episode. Also on a more minor complaint they don't subtitle any of the post credit content leaving about 3 minutes unsubbed in each episode which is frustrating. Will continue to buy the franchise unless gridman has the same issues

FOR THE COLLECTION: So, all the other Ultraman releases by Millcreek came with a digital code. Which is how I watch Ultraman, in bed when I fall asleep. I get the blu-rays for my collections and if I buy the digital version alone it cost the same as the collections. But without the digital being included with the blu-ray, it's just something for my movie case, and I have to buy it again for the actual sleep medicine I want it for. So, for a person like me that wants the digital there's other options, TOKU on Amazon prime has it for 3.99 a month plus a ton of other older Ulraman 90s/20s series.AS FOR THE SERIES: Not my favorite run, its not actually an Ultraman series, but one of the spin offs. Basic set up is a group of astronauts crash land on an alien planet and full of monsters. A mysterious man out of no where shows up, and some how can control monster and have them battle. Each episode is just a set up for them to brawl, which isn't the worst part, its that it's on an alien planet so the fights feel like they are just on flat ground with no building or other miniature work going on. The monster are also just repeats from the other series, so none of them are new. Which is apart I'm really into. All the human bits are on bad green screen, or shot with high angles to avoid showing them being on green screen. The show in general feels ultra low budget because of it, and lack of miniature work.I personally got bored pretty fast, which isn't a good combo for wanting to sleep, so I switched to Ultraman Nexus and been enjoying that a lot more.
